Ate here not long ago and to my surprise not that bad anymore.

This is the white spot that fooled me twice, and yes i know, fooled me twice shame on me. But just had to go the second time to see if they were really that bad. But this last time after a few years, it was actually ok.

The food used to be overcooked, like salmon that chew like a chicken in your mouth kinda overcooked. Now the food are nicely done, nothing special but nicely done as it suppose to be.

Service is ok. Friendly server but the host just doesn't seem like she welcomes you at all because there was no smile and friendly greetings. Just "hi, for two?" and lead you to your table.

I dined here on 2 February 2009 and had the clam chowder, the Nobashi prawns, a Caesar salad and Scallop, Prawn and Salmon Risotto which is one of their "Taste of Tuscany" dishes supposedly inspired by Umberto.

The entree arrived before the appetizers, any of them, and this is never impressive. Finally all the dishes arrived. The clam chowder was good, the Nobashi prawns were very good. The entree, which was only lukewarm by the time I got to it, was well flavored but the amount of risotto greatly overpowered the amount of scallops, prawns and salmon, all three of which were very scant in number.

The service, as mentioned, left something to be desired. To compensate for the bad timing of the order I was comped the Nobashi prawn dish. This, however, did not really make up for the elements lacking in the main course.

Overall, I would probably return to this particular White Spot but I would not order the risotto dish again.
