Vietnamese fast food at the Coquitlam Centre food court.
My friend, gf and I ended up at the food court after spending a day out in the sun and at a local car show. Everyone wandered off and eventually I found myself standing at the checkout here.
I ordered the combination with included a brochette skewer, Vietnamese rice roll dips, a spring roll, small salad and rice. The chicken brochette was both moist and dry depending on which bite you were at while the spring roll was not made to order, lukewarm to the point where the crispy outer skin was chewy and the meat inside easily seperated itself away from the casing. The roll dips were cold, hard and lacking any flavour, making the small iceberg lettuce salad the most appetizing part on my plate. Frankly, the rice wasn't even all that good. I am going to look for the good here and what I will take away from this place was that my meal was edible, otherwise I would rate the food as poor.
Everything else was the default food court example.
Come on, try a little.
Just had the lunch special which included noodles, crepes, salad and a deep fried spring roll. Everything was DISGUSTING including the tasteless fish sauce. The spring roll had meat that tasted sour and spoiled :( . . .The crepes had dried meat with an unusual outer texture - definitely not fresh. Ended up throwing away everything pretty much untouched. Come on Vina at Coquitlam Centre, you can do better!
