Went to this place to kill a sushi craving. Ordered a few rolls and some sashimi to go. There was one guy working who couldn't speak enough English to understand what "sashimi" is. Patiently I waited 30 minutes for him to make the food (which shouldn't have taken more than 10). Before ringing in my order he opened the to-go box and proceeded to rifle through my food with his fingers showing me my order. When it came time to pay I handed him my credit card. Stunned and without being able to communicate, he had absolutely no idea what to do with the card or how the machine worked. I then handed him my bank card which he was finally able to swipe...or so I thought. I was half way home and the guy was running up behind me pointing at a receipt. Due to his own inability to use a debit machine, the transaction didn't go through. At this point I would expect most people in the service industry to let the $20.00 slide given the ridiculous wait time and inconvenience but this guy literally tracked me over a block away. So I went back (lunch and dog in tow) and, again, handed the guy my bank card. He was on the phone with someone and the machine was clearly tampered with and not working by this point. After another 5 minutes of standing there waiting to pay my $20.00 bill (for the second time) I left the food on the counter and walked out.
Until the person(s) who run this place can figure out the importance of punctual, friendly service, how to use their payment system and basic English, I would stay far far away. I will never return!
