Pizza Town and Indian Grill offers a varied menu featuring classic Indian dishes and a variety of pizza.
I ordered take out from Pizzatown today. Ordered a large meat lovers pizza, butter chicken w/rice and naan and veggie pakoras. I've ordrered pizza from her before about 3 months ago and it was good. For whatever reason, everything we ordered today was extremely salty, especially the pakoras. It was almost to the point that I couldn't eat it.
It cost $30.90 after tax for pick up, which would have been quite reasonable, had everything been edible. I ended up throwing out 1/2 of the pakoras, because they were too salty. The texture of the pakoras were great, crispy and light, but the taste of salt overrode the cilantro and other spices. Butter chicken was pretty good, lots of chicken, sauce was tasty, but again, too much salt.
LIke the title says, not sure what happened. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and likely order from there one more time. But if the food is again salty, that next time will definitely be the last time.
The food is decent and priced ok for what you get, but the service is HORRIBLE! I called in an order for the goat curry special and the lamb curry special with extra naan, roti, Aloo parantha at 11am when they first opened. The girl, probably a relative of the owner, told me that it would take 45min-1hour for my order to be done and to come at noon. I got there just after noon and paid for my order, but was told to wait another five minutes. No big deal, right? At 12:20pm, I asked where my food was. The girl snapped at me that they're getting it ready. I asked again at 12:30pm where my food was, and she snapped at me AGAIN that I needed to be more patient. FINALLY just after 12:45pm, she dumps the food on the counter and says, "There! Good-bye!" I wasn't being rude and I had asked nicely, but even if I was being rude about it, there was no apology for the lateness. It's a good thing I didn't have somewhere important to go, but I do have a medical condition that requires me to eat regularly. I will not be ordering from there ever again.
They got my order wrong twice to date and it's always in their favour.
They seriously need someone to check the orders before handing it to the customers. The owner's wife is the only pleasant one to deal with. The rest of them are just so robotic.
The food is good but the service needs improving.
We ordered two pizzas. They showed up late (it took almost 1.5 hours). Both were cold, both were wrong and one had cold tomatoes on top that were put there after cooking (I assume they forgot before cooking). See attached photo for a laugh and save yourself the trouble with these guys.
We have ordered delivery twice and take-out once. Only complaint - first time we ordered from there they forgot our side of naan..also...I was expecting more from my cucumber salad than a container of sliced cucs and a side of sauce and ranch dip but what do I know. Each time we have LOVED our meals. I personally really like the pizza crust. I would say hands down best pizza in this price range. We have had Samosas, pakoras, vindaloo, tikka masala, korma, aloo gobi and butter chicken. All of them had a lot of flavor and none of them were too spicy for me to eat. Prices are very reasonable and will keep us coming back (along with the food of course). Both on the phone and delivery the service was pleasant.
