Vietnamese restaurant specializing in pho. There are several locations in the lower mainland.
This new location near Silvercity is much better than Pinetree and North Road combined. The restaurant is cleaner, larger and roomier. Even the regular pho dishes taste much better here. We've been many times to their other locations, but we like this one the best, not sure why it's so different, perhaps they are playing musical chefs? Hopefully this location will be able to maintain its quality and quantity to keep it solid and good.
Went there for lunch one afternoon. It was a late lunch so it wasn't very busy. I've been to other Pho 99 before and they don't entirely impress me, but I figure I would give this new location a try. The decor on the inside is kind of "funky", don't really know whether I like it or not, but at least it was bright and clean.
I ordered a chicken ball pho, and it came in under 5 minutes. I was quite impressed at the speed, perfect place for a quick lunch. Faster than food court! Nothing special about the pho, soup was flavourful, the noodles was good. Overall, it was a solid pho, although the waitress didn't bring me my bean sprouts until I asked for it.
Would come back for lunch, especially when I just need to grab a quick bite to eat.
