Pacific Rim Grille offers a fine selection of West Coast cuisine accented with Pacific Rim flavours.
This restaurant is now closed (under new management) and no longer serving West Coast cuisine. What a terrible loss for this neighbourhood. The food and service were outstanding but they just didn't have the diners, many nights were very slow.
Would like to know where the chef/owner relocated to, as we would certainly like to try the new location.
I loved the Lamb! The server was good and the food was excellent! My only complaint is the portions, prices and the fact that the wine I'd of liked wasn't in stock. The ceasar served to me was yummy and topped off with a prawn. Overall a classy place with a future! I'd go back for that dessert I had anyday! MMMM!
Any time I'm trying to wow someone new to town, I take them here. For my 20+ years of cooking and dining out many times a week, the food is guaranteed to please. Service has always been good to great. I would imagine "the fine diner" might say the location and decor could use an upgrade, though this gives the place more appeal to me because I don't have to drive to Vancouver to find world class food. P.S. try the crab cakes.. ooo eee
May 11, 2008 Mother's day celebration with a meal prepared by a "real chef" was what we wanted and we got it. Our lime margarita was perfect and the whiskey was good too. We had the beef carpaccio and the crab cakes for starters; they were beautifully presented and delicious beyond belief! We had a German Riesling kabinette 2004 white wine with our entrees; it was lovely and chilled perfectly. Our entrees were the fresh water sturgeon (which was firm, white and flaky) and the elk medallions which were very tasty but tough/chewy. The vegetables were fresh and beautifully prepared, succulent and flavourful! We did not have room for dessert but will next time -- we intend to patronize this very special restaurant again soon. Fabulous food, excellent friendly service but needs better ventilation as we did notice the cooking odours when we first entered -- a bit smoky but even with that, the chef and his staff are superb! Thank you!
The food was delicious.
A wonderfully varied menu. We had crab cakes, elk and salmon. Each dish seemed to be prepared with passion. Delectable and well presented. An exciting change from the suburban norm. The Bianco-Nero for dessert was to die for.
The only drawback is the ambiance. The space is located in a non descript strip mall and basically a square box. With the help of plants and candlelight, the owners have made the best of what they have to work with.
Nevertheless, I will go back and I will recommend it to friends. The food is just too good not to. In a better location/space, this restaurant would be booked weeks in advance. In the meantime, it remains a hidden gem.
I went to the Pacific Rim Grille last Friday, for my mothers birthday party. I was so impressed with the food and its presentation. The location is slightly hidden and might make you skeptical to come in, however, once inside, you'll notice that it is nicely decorated and is very warm and inviting. The service is excellent. It is one of a kind in Coquitlam. We will definitely be coming back!
The atmosphere is wonderful. The wine menu was sufficient but the wine we wanted to have was out of stock. We made a second choice & it also was out of stock so we ended up with a wine which was substantially more than we wanted to pay. We asked if there would be any compensation but the waitress said no. The same thing happened with the food! What we wanted was not available that night (It was a Friday evening) I would not consider going back to this restaurant as it was not a good experience,
Have dined there on three separate occasions. every time the food was cooked to perfection, and the service genuinely friendly with the right amount of attentiveness. I tried but I really can't fault it. All good.
An excellent restaurant in a so-so location. The food and service are top notch. The location is questionable and I'll bet people dismiss it without even trying it just by looking at the outside of the restaurant. It needs word of mouth because for it to close would be a shame. It's definitely the best fine dining experience in the Tri-Cities.
It specializes in coastal Pacific seafood and meat dishes like the veal and pheasant are melt in your mouth delicious. Presentation is as good as you'll find anywhere. I highly recommend this restaurant.
