For over 30 years we’ve been creating raving fans with our signature thin crust which is layered and pressed over 100 times by our custom-made dough rollers. We make and prime our dough right here. Fresh. Every day. These are the folks who valiantly fend off the 2 for 1's and the conveyor oven pizzerias of BC and keep Me-n-Ed's pizza a dish that is meant to be savoured, not gobbled. These people are the owners and there is always at least one at every location.
And maybe not even then. The good is that their Greek salad is great and certainly fairly priced. Service was fine and the young lady pleasant. But the pizza was just awful. A large was about $27.00 and even with a 50% off coupon wasn't worth it. My wife, who seems never to complain about anything and who previously liked the pizza here thought it was the absolutely worst pizza she'd ever had. The crust had to be previously made and frozen. Then they burned it and forgot (?) the tomato sauce. Toppings were minimal and tastless (that's the only part we could eat). The place was almost empty at 6 pm. It's easy to see why. I don't think it was just a bad day. Go elsewhere.
My wife and I have visited Me'n'Ed's many times together and with family, and we get delivery or takeout all the time too. Their pizza is excellent! Fantastic, flavourful thin crust pizza - not a doughy, soggy mess; covered with a very generous serving of the best quality ingredients. Their special pizzas are all uniformly excellent - our favourites are the Soprano (Tomato, Bocconcini, and Capicollo) and the Roast Garlic & Smoked Salmon with Goat's Cheese. My wife's family are pizza-lover's from Chicago and they all loved Me'n'Ed's!
The place is brightly-lit, warm and inviting with really cool stuff on the walls and a nice big fireplace. The staff are always attentive, competent and friendly.
I can't recommend Me'n'Ed's highly enough - give me this pizza any day over frozen pizzas or "chains".
Went to Me-N-Ed's for the first time and found this thin crust pizza to be out of this world. Very tasty and unusual combinations make it a different pizza experience. Do not order the standard pepperoni or hawaiian here! Our waitress was full of suggestions and we followed her recommendations. Try the "perogy" or "chicken pesto supreme" for a real taste delight. Service was friendly, quick and not bothersome. Kids pop was never empty and the waitress gladly supplied extra coloring pages and crayons to keep the kids happy. We went on a busy Friday night and had to wait 10 minutes, not bad. Try to get a table with chairs as the booths are a little hard and we asked to be moved as "grandpa" was uncomfotable. Pricier than your regular 2 for 1 pizza joints but grab an entertainment coupon. Well worth it!!!
Just got back from dinner at Me-N-Ed's. The ambiance was ok, the food was okay, the service was okay. Nothing to ooh-n-ahh about, it was just an overall OK.
The area is a bit small and you get to seat yourself, luckily it wasn't a mad rush for that last table that was free.
Good pizza, and good for family fun.
A good deal when you go to the restaurant, but a little pricey for delivery.
The owners of this location let you know that this place is kid friendly, but they are also willing to accommodate adult sports teams out for their fill of pizza n' beer. Seats are a bit uncomfortable, but I suppose it is a pizza parlor.
We will continue to return to this location. Maybe I am biased, but I really enjoy their pizza.
Came here with a friend for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised! Very charming and simple atmosphere, great buzz on a Thursday evening as well.
Had an order of Ed’s Bread and a large Soprano pizza; both were great and definitely a far-cry from your typical greasy Pizza Hut and whatnot.
Service was friendly and attentive even with our Entertainment coupon, always a good sign. I will definitely be back
My friend and I went and had one large pizza, wasn't enough to fill us, thin crust so not that much dough.
Very tasty and would eat it again for sure, but it is expensive. If it was about 25% cheaper I'd come more often.
One problem with the food I have is that they make pizza on pre-cooked pizza dough (i.e. they bake the dough then add the ingredients then put it in the over to melt the cheese) so generally their pizzas are fairly cold when you get them and really cold very quickly afterwards. Don't like cold pizza myself. Don't get delivery because it will be totally cold by the time it gets to you. Also, the crust is way too thin and crispy for a satisfying meal.
