My sister suggested to go here for dinner last night since because she wanted to give it a try after reading a positive review on here. I'm glad she did! I was expecting a much bigger restaurant - only had about 4 eat-in tables. At least the restaurant looked really clean, something I wouldn't have expected from looking at the area it's in. Prices were extremely good, we all ate and were satisfied for $30. My sister had their daily special (entree of the day w/ drink for only $6) of stewed pork and egg on rice, her husband had the prawn laksa and I had fried rice w/ taro and a red bean w/ ice cream drink. And 2 orders of roti w/ curry sauce.
Prawn laksa was good (voted top 5 places to eat laksa in newspaper just a few months ago), but obviously not as good as in Malaysia. Sister's rice was excellent and flavorful, however I would have to give my rice a "mediocre" rating. There was nothing special about it, but it wasn't bad at all. Next time I would definitely try something else! The highlight of the meal was the freshly made-to-order roti w/ their delicious curry sauce. Gives me hunger pains just thinking about it!
The menu is slightly limited, but I wouldn't expect anything more based on the size of this place. They also offer catering. The staff is extremely friendly.
I would not hesitate to come here again or to recommend this place.

I came here based on the reviews of this restaurant, but was disappointed. Went in the afternoon around 1pm a while ago and tried to order the prawn laksa as well as some chicken on rice. Both were apparently out. So instead I ordered some roti, some chicken curry as well as some spring rolls and a noodle dish.

I found the food decent and pretty cheap, but it took over 30 min for the appetizers to come out, and another 15-20 min for my meal. I might come back just to try out the laksa if I have a lot of time and in the area.

I found this great place by browsing this site for Malaysian restaurants. It's in Coquitlam but only a few minutes from the Burnaby border. It was a bit hard to spot at night as it's tucked in a plaza on the corner of Clarke and Como Lake.

This is a small casual restaurant with very friendly and personable staff. The prawn laksa is the creamy Singapore style laksa I had it medium spicy and it was just right. I was looking for asam (sour, spicy Penang) laksa and our server brought me some vinegar to try with my laksa, so thoughtful. Although it's not the same, it was nice to compare. We also got the Roti with the yummy curry sauce. It's a must! My husband is usually quite critical with his reviews and he thought his food was pretty good too! He had the curry beef flank with rice. The beef was very tender. We were so full there was no room for dessert!

We ordered single menu items and were full for about $10 each.
The menu is limited but understandable for such a small restaurant. We will definately go back to try more items!

(The bathrooms are tidy and clean.)

I came to this cafe with my friend. The place is clean and tidy. Staffs were very friendly. Since I did not know much about south east asia food, they were very patience to answer all my questions. We ordered a Prawn Laska (Rice noodle in soup), Curry beef with rice and an Indonesian Pancake. Food is so good and portion are big. We cannot finish the Laska and need to pack them home. So impress that they seperate the soup and the noodle in 2 microwaverable containers. Will go back to try out more items. Very affortable price, the total cost only $19.00.
