A friend asked me where to go for Easter Brunch. This is where we go every year. They do a beautiful Easter brunch. Two seatings 10:30 and 12:00. They go all out with both breakfast and Lunch choices. Lots of choices seafood, meat, breakfast items, a carving station, desserts galore. Family friendly with lots of cute kids in their Easter outfits.
It is in the Executive Inn right across from Lougheed mall, so you can get there by skytrain and then you can have a Mimosa. Enjoy. Best to make reservations.
We decided to go to the Copper Club for our pre-Valentine dinner on Friday night, it was THE BEST.
We decided to come here because it was close to home & we wanted to have a special evening. My wife had the Grapefruit Glazed Prawns & Scallops. A very interesting combination of Asian inspired flavors that really came together perfectly. I tried a little and it was very good. For my meal I chose the Certified Angus Beef Rib Eye Steak. Now I like my beef and this was probably one of the tastiest steaks that I have ever had. First it was cooked perfectly, and I have sent my fair share of steaks back to the kitchen, but I couldn't have been happier. The spice rub that they use must be the chefs creation because it was very unique. The flavor of the steak was complimented by the red wine au jus. We were both extremely happy with our meals.
There was room for dessert so we shared the Lemon Cheesecake. It was a light unbaked cheesecake that I find irresistible. The perfect end to a great meal.
The night didn't stop with food because on the weekends there is Live Music & Dancing. We ordered a couple drinks & then the dancing started. What a great place to have close to home & if you want make it a weekend & spend the night in the hotel. This was a night to remember. Great food, great service & great memories.
Well my friends and I finally made it to the Copper Club on the weekend to check out the live entertainment. This turned out to be a great night. We ate well, we had a few drinks and we danced. The atmosphere is very relaxed, what you want after a busy week. The food was very good and the drinks were even better.
The excellent staff made us feel as if we were regulars. They were very friendly and offered many suggestions. I enjoy going out and being able to have fun. They made us feel right at home. We are very happy.
A friend suggested to us that we try the Prime Rib at the Copper Club because it was fantastic. Well all I have to say is I owe my friend dinner because it was the best. I have eaten some good prime rib dinners before, but this one was a step above. It was cooked and spiced to perfection. They definitely know how to age meat here, well done. My wife had the lobster ravioli in a champagne cream sauce. She was impressed how all the subtle flavors came together.
The service was very good considering they were very busy. Our server was always there if we needed anything or to give us suggestions. We asked about a Mexican Theme night that they were having the following week. She enthusiastically explained to us that they were going to have Mexican Food and Drink specials, music and it was all going to decorated. It sounded like a great evening out.
We are very happy that my friend suggested this restaurant. It was everything and more. A great night of many more.
It was a rainy Sunday so we decided to check out the brunch that we had heard so much about. We were very impressed. Variety, quality and freshness are the important features to me when I go to a buffet. They did a great job on all 3. The staff kept things full and they were constantly coming around keeping our table clean. I was impressed with the omelette station where the chef makes it fresh for you right there. I went for seconds and had some great jumbo shrimp and roast beef that was carved right there.
I really enjoyed everything about our Sunday brunch. The service here is very professional and they always seem genuinely happy that you are there. Keep up the great work.
My friend and I had read the previous reviews and the Prime Rib sounded wonderful! Alas, it wasn't on the regular menu last night (Sept. 23). They do it on "special" on Wed. & Sat. Well after the we chose, we definitely will go back to try it too! I ordered the short rib dinner with mashed potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables. The ribs were so soft and tender and flavourful!! Excellent! My friend had the sirloin steak, mashed and grilled veg and she too said it melted in her mouth as well. These dinners were approx $26-28 each. Both of us had delicious au jus with each of our meals. We shared a Ceasar salad 8.00 as it was big enough for two and the fresh bread with the olive oil/balsamic dip was a touch I haven't seen/had in years.
Well you would think that with delicious meals, maybe, just maybe the cocktails would be less than great? Nope! We both had a ceasar drink 5.50 and they too were excellent! We will for sure make many return visits in the future! I believe the very good waitress was also quite pleased by our tips!
We came to this restaurant and were the only customers to come in at 6:45PM. This restaurant is located by the Foggy Dew Pub. We used an Entertainment Coupon and received minimal service.
I ordered the Lobster Ravioli. The ravioli contained dry fake crab meat. The sauce was white cream and balsamic reduction? Very unusual combination. *There were six ravioli* pieces!!! The dish literally included a couple sprigs of parsley and a few thin slices of cucumber. Disappointing.
The Salmon ordered included potato dumplings which was a gluten substance to help 'fill the stomach'.
I don't believe I've had worse value in my years of dining in Vancouver. The ambience was very very dim. Perhaps an attempt to be environmentally conscious and save energy.
I figure if you enjoy all you can eat sushi at least you will go home full. Nothing more disappointing than paying for a meal and not feeling full.
There is absolutely no value eating here. Stay away.
I had heard that the Copper Club had excellent Prime Rib, I had to find out. You will definitely be impressed. The meat was perfect. They must age the meat themselves because it doesn't get more tender than that. I enjoyed the spice rub which added another level of flavor to the roast and the au jus. The meal came with all the trimmings and was cooked to perfection. The chef really knows what to do with meat, well done. My wife had the roasted chicken breast which was very good. It was cooked with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto. A very unique flavor that I had to try.
Our meals were very good and the service was perfect. Our server suggested different wine for each of us and it matched our meals perfectly. This was such a pleasant evening out that we will have to come back.
Wow Wow Wow!!!!!!!!!!
We have finally found somewhere that knows how to make a superb PRIME RIB DINNER. The meal came with all the trimmings & left me so satisfied that I returned the following week with a group of my friends.
The servers were great. They were able to give us some good drink suggestions and they were always there if we needed anything. The management here definitely takes pride in making sure that everyone's experience here is something to tell their friends.
I am pleased to have found Prime Rib Night at the Copper Club. We will be returning to try more of their menu items. If they can do prime rib this good everything must be fantastic.
We were looking for a night out on friday night when we remembered that there was a lounge in the Executive Inn with live music. When we arrived the band was playing and people were dancing. We sat down next to the dance floor. They have the most comfortable chairs, I was very impressed.
We started with some nachos and drinks to start off our evening. Our appy was good so a Pizza with chorizo sausage was next for us. Wow is all I have to say, it tasted excellent. I saw some burgers going out to other people and thy looked good, definately next time.
The server was excellent. She had many suggestions for drinks when we asked and she was always there when we needed a refill.
Well it was a great night. We danced, ate, drank and had a lot of fun.
We have enjoyed two Sunday brunches at the Copper Club. The first because we had stayed at the Executive Plaza one Saturday and decided we would try the Sunday brunch the next morning as part of our "weekend out". And the other, a return visit, was because we enjoyed the first experience so much -- we came back as a threesome that time -- and enjoyed it even more!!
So much good food, so well-prepared and presented. So many choices of what to have, and how to have it.
A totally-fun and very enjoyable dining experience, and especially so for those "special" times we all have to celebrate once in a while.
Nice place, good food and service, comfortable surroundings.
My favourite place to eat is at home. My favourite food to eat is my own cooking. Therefore, it is a rare occasion that I am happy with a meal at a restaurant. Last night was different.
We had dinner in celebration of my husband's birthday. Our reservation was for 6 p.m. and the whole time we were there no one else came into the dining room. A few were in the lounge. Because of this, there was not really any atmosphere.
We sat at a beautiful booth that had a gorgeous table.
I checked the menu on the internet to be sure there was something that appealed to me. When I opened the menu in the restaurant it was somewhat different from the one I had checked out. I was looking forward to the butternut squash soup. Not there. The waitress very kindly checked with the kitchen to see if the soup had been made for a banquet booking but it had not.
The crab cake was excellent--first time I've had one in a restaurant that totally impressed me. Delicious.
I ordered the prawns/scallops/basmati rice with a grapefruit juice glaze and my husband ordered the Angus steak. They were both delicious and beautifully presented. My serving was too much for me and I brought half of it home.
The wine was expensive--but that's the way it is.
I was disappointed when I opened my left-overs for lunch today to find them sitting on tin foil. The taste of food after it's been sitting on tin foil
is negatively affected--too bad.
All in all, it was a great dinner for both of us.
Came here for appies during a random drive, had nachoes and honey garlic wings.
FOOD- medicore, tasted like your average pub food, even though it was alot expensiver and they gave very small amounts of salsa and sour cream. I was quiet disappointed.
SERVICE- the service was horrible, the place was dead empty because it was really late. Our server did not ask me once for a refill and did not come by to ask about our food once, nor did she even make eye contact with us. I may be a student but it doesn't mean we should be getting unfavourable service. We tipped accordingly (aka nothing!)
VALUE- the nachos and wings were expensiver then your average joint but we used the entertainment coupon so our bill was around $15, even with the coupon I would not go again as there dinner menu was very bland and small.
AMBIANCE- now this is where the creepy-ness comes in, it is extremly loud in there and it was kind of funny to watch a bunch of old people dancing to a live singer, even though it seems like an above average restaurant the live singer was too funny and watching people dance was even funnier.
Overall I wouldnt waste your time or money here, for the money your going to spend here your better off hitting Joey Tomatoes, it is unfortunate when a server is not the slightest bit attentive, I'll take my money and friends somewhere else more hip next time.
This was our fourth Christmas family dinner at the Copper Club Grill & Lounge and what a difference a year makes. We were seated fairly quickly and the service was good. But, this year they changed the layout of the buffet which was somewhat cramped in a hallway compared to the previous year were it was more open and easier to get to the food. We also found many of the foods like potatoes, pastas, certain salads and cheese cakes were missing this year. The dessert selection was quite disappointing.
At $37 per person plus an added 15% gratuity makes it a somewhat expensive meal for what was served this year. You have to be careful, if you use your credit card you don't add a further gratuity.
All in all, I think we'll be looking for a different venure next year for our Christmas dinner.
