Went there for breakfast (late) on a weekday. It was not busy. Waited for 5 minutes to be acknowldged and then like the other reivewer said waited another five after we were asked how many while the seater diappeared.

It tok 50 minutes from the time we walked into the reastarant until we got our food. Far too long at a chain restaurant especially if you have kids with you.

The kid's meal at $6 got a small juice and 1/2 a waffle with whipped cream and frozen strawberries. Had to ask for syrup. Does not come with it. A toasted English muffin is $3 - I kid you not. That is more than a whole bag of them at teh grocery store.

You know when you go out for breakfast and the meal is so huge you cannot finish it all.? Not a problem here. The omelet that I ordered I asked for 3 items, two of them vegetable and cheese. I specally said NO gREEN peppers. I received what looked like a 2 egg omelet with a gross slick of plastic looking cheese on top, filled with green peppers. SInce it was not on the menu, they charged me for a ham and cheese omelet. They did not take andy $$ off for the (ham and other items) that I did not have BUT did charge extra for the ones I did such as green onion. RIP OFF. I will say the hashbrowns were good but that was about it. I also cannot fathom how breakfast restaurants think it's ok to serve burnt toast. This is not the only place I have had this. This is one of your main items.

We waited another 15 mintues after eating for the bill that never came. THe waitress was MIA most of the time. I went to the front desk to tell them and received no apology. She did however point out the TIP function on the interac machine. $40 for a family breakfast to too much for me. I'm not sure when adult breakfast entrees topped teh $10 mark but that's too rich for me when it's egg and toast combos. and variations.

Better than the other ABC's.

Had the lumberjack breakfast this morning. Quite a bit of food. Quality was decent and service was quite prompt and had a number of coffee refills. So no complaints there. Might be a little too much stuffed toys and the like, especially compared with other ABC's. Felt a little like walking into a toy store. But for the actual dining experience and can't complain. I see they have a 20% off with movie passes within 24 hrs. Can't complain about that...

The best breakfast

Always go here for breakfast and I look forward to the trip as my special treat.

The breakfast wrap is great - my wife and I love it.

Only problem I have ever had was a hair on my dish once (these things happen even in the cleanest places - it was after two years of going there about once a month). The waitress took the dish right away brought out a new one after about a seven minute wait and comp'ed us the meal (as would be expected) - she was very apologetic too, ...so great service.

Haven't tried dinner though, but the menu looks inviting.

We have been going to this particular ABC Restaurant for years and on every visit.... no let downs. Food is good. Service is above the rest ( Smiles ) and just a great outing overall.
I would recommend this location to all families. Nice and close to The Silver City Theatre. Good value for what you recieve.

Pretty much what you'd expect, cardboard food, bad service, ok price

The food here is very much what you'd expect, I'd say two notches lower than a Denny's. Your typical clientele of seniors and regular folk looking for good price for whatever they can get even if it is cardboard with sauce.

Service is awful and you will wait a long time. Food is effectively microwave-only, everything tastes like just microwaved and you will leave the restaurant wondering "why in the world did I just eat here?" and hopefully never return.

Every time I go to this restaurant, I'm always leaving disappointed. I think after this last time i won't be going back... There are only so many chances you can give. The food is ALWAYS cold... and the hasbrowns are never fully cooked. The cooks haven't had enough practice... and they need a lot more training. One of my encouncters I ordered some onions in my hasbrowns and a side of sliced tomatoes with onions as well... The waitress brought me hashbrowns with raw green onions and tomatoes with raw green onions... It doesn't take a chef to realize that chives are not meant for either... besides the poor quality food and the pricing that is 20 times more than what the food is worth...literally, there is not much else you can say about this place.

Chef Linda cooked the food just perfect. Service was alright, we met the chef and she was polite and professional, a definite asset to the company. we will be back. The atmosphere was comfortable and it was quick service, waitress forgot a couple of things, but overall, very good. I come through that area every once in a while and will be telling friends to stop there to eat.

My husband and I went to the restaurant for a late lunch and they were not very busy. We waited at the front for about 10 min. before anyone even acknowedged our presence. When they finally saw us we still had to wait several min. while the hostess finished what she was doing. We were then seated at the back of the restaurant, right by the kitchen. There were many table available elsewhere. We didn't complain because we didn't want to wait another 15 min. to be seated again. The food service was o'kay. The food was really good. When we were ready to pay at the front we again had to wait about 10min. and in a long line-up for the cashier. There are so many people unemployed that your restaurant should hire some of them because heaven knows you need more staff.

the last family restaurant

we have been frequenting this restaurant for the last 5 years...every saturday afternoon. we started getting together for a family brunch 7 years ago (my mother, grandfather, and me), at a local white spot. as it was going through renovations, we found that the service, food, and general atmosphere, was lacking in huge proportions. disenchanted, we started to look for another venue. i had visited abc in coquitlam previously, and was impressed with the service and loved the breakfast, so i suggested we try it out for our weekly gathering. we have never looked back.

the service is great; the servers are very friendly and it seems to be that everyone in the restaurant is a regular. the food is very satisfying and is worth the price you are paying. as for the ambiance, it is very family friendly...which has made it enjoyable for both kith and kin.

If you are going to go to an ABC restaurant GO HERE!! As a former employee of another ABC this is the best one around!! They have kept alot of the menu items that were discontinued from the other ABC's - like the Country French Breakfast mmmm! Anyonewho has complaints with this ABC should drive across the Pitt Bridge and go to the one in Maple Ridge - it pals in comparison! Coffee ++, Food ++, decore is a little mcuh. But extra +++ for the kids stool in the washroom to wash little hands etc.....

Do you have two hours to have lunch or breakfast??
By giblet of coquitlam (1 Review)
Submitted Saturday, September 16, 2006 - 9:51pm [Dine in]

This was the slowest food service I have ever had in a restraunt for either breakfast or lunch. Whether there is 20 people in the restraunt or less it seem the food did not arrive any faster. It took over a hour for our breakfast to arrive and the next time I went, the lunch took over 45 mins to arrive from the time of ordering. So all I have to say is unless you have over two hours for lunch or breakfast dont go. If your on the way to the airport forget this place or you will miss your flight.

I am not here to knock ABC or any other chain restaurant..... but why do 2 eggs, toast and hashbrowns have to cost over $7.00? Denny's Grand Slams start at $8.49!!! Why do we have drive to NewWestminster to find an inexpensive breakfast diner? I want to go and spend $3.75 and have eggs, sausages, toast and hashbrowns like many of the diners in NewWest...
