Garrison Bistro utilizes fresh, local ingredients to create inventive new flavours, maintaining a high standard of quality while offering classic Bistro menu items such as Coq Au Vin and fresh pastas. From the bar you can expect fresh herb infused cocktails, a great classic Martini, a cold beer or wine from the BC focused wine list.
We went for dinner on a Sunday night, it was not too busy so we were seated right away. The waitstaff were very attentive and not too bothersome. The decor is modern and very comfortable. The music was a little loud but it was not unpleasant. I started with crab cakes, they were very tasty. For dinner I had the short ribs, they were fall off the bone delicious, it was accompanied by mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe. My companion had a salad that was like no other; lettuces with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, it was served with a sweet raspberry vinagrette - very nice salad but big enough to share! She then had the steak, which was prepared exactly to her liking and was also served with mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe.
We didn't have dessert, but the meal was enough in itself. I will come back when the weather is nicer and we can sit on the patio.
