I Had never been at the Napa Grille & Wine Den Before , It was recommended by a business associate of mine. So we decided to give it a try?
We showed up for Lunch around 12:30, we were pleasantly surprised to see a Patio! We were greeted by our waiter Dwayne who delightfully told us of the Specials of the Day! and was very helpful in helping us choose from the many options they have on their menu. I had the California Cocktail to start and she had the Napa Grille Crab cakes. Both appetizer's were simply delicious! Our main courses shortly followed....I tried the baked lobster mac ( all I can say is it is my new favorite!! suggest anyone to try this dish!) My friend ordered the Atlantic Salmon served with a jalapeno hollandaise sauce she said is was very tender and cooked just right ,she found the hollandaise sauce as a very tasty pairing.
We ordered the Mohito which was made with fresh mint, tasted like the ones I had had in Cuba.
Overall I give this place a pleasantly 10 stars!
I will definatley be making this place my new lunch place to entertain my business clients!
Great Food Excellent Service and Very Very Reasonable Prices In my opinion A MUST TRY!
I was blown away by the caliber of food in this restaurant.
I had the pan seared scallops and Waterloo county schnitzel , while my fiancee had mussels and Chicken Supreme. I have not had scallops that good since my trip to Nova Scotia, and they know how to make a good bisque.
It was honestly the best meal I've had in years, the flavours were spot on, all of the ingredients tasted so fresh and were perfectly balanced with each other.
Although my fiancee ordered the Chicken Supreme, I found myself stealing from her plate quite often. The freshness of the Chicken was undeniable, and red pepper cream sauce was amazing.
I can't wait to go back, there were so many items on the menu I wanted to try. We had the opportunity to talk with one of the Executive Chefs, ( Josh) and he was a really nice guy to talk to. It made the whole experience even more fun.
We can't wait to go back, and will definately bring our friends and family.
Ordered the halibut and chips. A piece of cardboard would have tested better than the fish, while the fries were burned on the outisde yet somehow raw in the middle. Extremely bad for the $16 price.
And now I have to babble more because this site thinks every review should have 50 words. I rate this site bad too! :)
Java Gardens has a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Dan, the owner, is always finding new ways to entertain his customers. Movie Nights, Music Nights, Astrology Afternoons, and beautiful art work by local artists displayed on the walls are jut a few of the things he has at Java Gardens. The atmoshere is relaxed and the seating is comfortable. You can pop in to take out some of the delicious food or sit in and relax and enjoy a nice meal and linger over a heavenly desert. The atmosphere is friendly and I frequently go in alone and chat with other customers. There are various board games distributed about the cafe so if you bring a few friends you can relax and play a game or two.
