Marvelous food selection, delicious and the service is great !

I loved the relaxed atmosphere, the music they have on while eating is cool to listen to. We have to wait 30 mins to be seated because the place is packed but worth it! The lumpiang sariwa, Bicol express, sinigang tanigue, ginatang hipon and crispy pata garlic was fantastic and we really enjoyed the BBQ ribs. To my surprise there's only few Filipino customers most are Caucasian and I ask one of the customer beside us how's your food and she replied, we're 7 seas regulars and they love the flavor of the food here. After we ate I agreed with them 200% the food and service is great! Fantastic!

There is no word to describe the food... It was absolutely amazing and the flavour was incredibly delicious. The service was great and friendly staff. Our server has suggested some dishes we were unfamiliar with and we were very pleased with our meals.

The presentation of the dishes are world class - appetizingly beautiful.

The value is just about right for being in Calgary as seafoods are a bit pricey!

Can't wait to go back for some more!

We recommend this place very highly..stop by and try their food. The grill platter, crispy pata garlic and sinigang tanigue was so yummy. The server will suggest specialties from their great selections. Selections are not just seafood but meat and veggies. We ordered their tempura and calamari for appetizer and it was so good. Everything was expertly prepared and delicious. Will surely come back for more.

We've heard mixed things about ric's grill and thought we would give it a try while visiting friends in town. Firstly we waited far too long for drinks and then the food came out luke warm at best. Our waiter was no where to be seen and we left before the "complementary" dessert hit the table. We will not be back.

New Ownership. Now a Bad Restaurant

There is recently been a change in ownership. The food is now terrible and the prices are higher. I will never go there again. Was there January 2013. The menus have been hand altered with higher prices. When we went the place was empty. Service was very weak.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!

Confused between a Indian or a Pizza get the best of both world , I was very surprised how tasty this was a cultural mix that tickled the taste buds, It was fresh and warm , If you’ve never had something like this before, you’re probably skeptical about this one, and hey, I hear you–it does sound weird, but if you like Indian food, I promise you, this is a joy to eat. This to me is a every day pizza where every element of the pizza has been revitalized and revisited. 11/10 Can highly recommend.

Ducky's Pub2100 4th Street SW, Calgary
Rude bar-tender
By curleyd of Calgary (1 Review)
Submitted Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 12:56am [Dine in]

I recently went to Ducky`s to meet a couple of friends coming from an office Christmas party. After my friend had bought the first round, I went to the bar to get water for the two of us. The bar-tender responded with ``if you plan to drink water all night, I`m going to have to charge you for it.`` I had ordered one water from the bar, and, remembering that I had forgotten my friend, went back to order another. Apparently, ordering two waters in a row is against the rules at Ducky`s and elicited this wholly inappropriate reaction. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the bar-tender and returned, speechless, to the table. I implore all those reading this review to rethink their choice of bar, and find another place to satisfy their karaoke cravings. Ducky`s has no consideration for customer service, and cynically views every patron as just another item on their daily balance sheet.

If you are looking for bars with karaoke everyday, I would recommend Nanta on 6th St. Down-town. It's more authentic, and the bartenders do not chastise you for ordering a glass of tap water. Avoid Ducky's if you can.

Avoid this place like the plague

Not good, in fact the food was terrible. Seriously I could get food with more self worth, integrity and pride at 7 11. Where do I start??

First off I wanna say that this place is deceptive, its in a location where you would expect a nice experience , the atmosphere though a bit quirky seems perfectly fine and nothing ( other than the fact that hardly any customers were here at prime time ) even gave me the hint that this place would drop the ball and then pop the ball ....

The prices ( for what you get) are WAY too high! To be fair , they're is at least some "average" food here that I tried off my friends plates but my fish and chips were probably the 2nd worst I have ever had in my life. Dry, tasteless and very chincy portion size.Even Captain highlander would roll in his grave at the sight! I tried my friends Mac n cheese, wow! It was THE WORST! Stale pasta, dry and no flavor at all! Shameful. And the portion was even more pathetic, I believe it also came with a shriveled pork belly...

The chicken wings were an abomination.SO Bad, they tasted freezer burned and stale and they were soggy and just plain YUCK. This was the kicker for me when I tried these i lost all hope for this joint....

The service?? Well I have had worse service, but at its peak it was average. Honestly the food was just so off putting at every level not even good service could save my experience... I was displeased, i kind of hid the fact because i didnt wanna embarrass my friend who chose this place.Very very displeased. I might has well have flushed my money down the toilet!! that's how cheated I felt after I left!!!

I really wish that this review had a redeeming factor but it doesn't.... I can't and won't tolerate this establishment so a generous 1 star will be awarded

If I could rate this place in the negatives I would

I think that this place is filthy. I would never eat here again unless I wanted my stomach pumped... not fun at all. How can that guy even be in business with his qualities is beyond me. Please do not eat here, choose to support a honest and clean establishment. I will never reccomend this place to any of my friends.

I ordered pizza from here, it got here cold and the customer service team said they'd replace it and then called back 20 minutes later and said the owner of this location refused to fix the order. So now I'm out over $30 for something I won't eat. Horrible service and cold food. This location/business is NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

Fiddlers Courtyard British Pub723 Edmonton Trail NE, Calgary
Outstanding new menu!
By Jack reckless of Calgary (2 Reviews)

A friend recommended fiddlers courtyard to me. I had never heard of it before but my friend raved about the menu so I decided to try it out. Glad I did. It's rare to find this kind of quality in a pub atmosphere. I was with my friend Jeremy and we both had an appetite so we started with the deep fried bacon wrapped pickles. Coated with house made cornbread and served with a chipotle mango dip.....wow. My only regret is that now I have constant cravings for this holy union of goodness. Seriously..... Try them. We also got the appy ribs which were fresher and more tender than your regular run of the mill pub staple dry ribs. For the mains Jeremy went with a steak sandwich which was on special for 7.99 and he had nothing but good things to say about it. I will have to take him at his word as he selfishly devoured it without offering a bite. I went with the shepards pie. This was quality. The mash potatoes were clearly fresh as there was none of that browned and old tasting hard outter layer I had become accustomed too at other pubs. The meat was nicely seasoned and it came with mixed greens without a hint of wilt. It was a big portion too so I took half home and enjoyed it later. Jeremy got none of it. The new owner (Ryan) stopped to by to chat for a bit. Nice young man. I would recommend this pub to anyone. It's rare to find a pub that has such a quality focused menu. What a gem.

This place not only stole the name of an existing restaurant in downtown Calgary, but they all have horrible food.

Please don't make the same mistake I did when thinking that the delicious Aida's Bistro Downtown opened a second location, and stay AWAY!

To the owners... change your name and stop trying to piggyback off other people's hard work and success.

Although we recieved great service from opur server at this location we tried to use our Boston Pizza kids card on a Tuesday (Pasta Special Day).
Even though my wife order a pizza which was worth more than the $14.00 listed as the minimum purchase on the card the Manager said she could not give us the kids meal free because we had a Pasta Special on the bill.
Seriously any place that hard up to make up that bullcrap line won't get my business and they certainly shouldn't get yours.

I suggest the new "Swiss Chalet" that will be opening in the old "BP" location, down in Falconridge.

Thanks for nothing Boston Pizza.

Brunch anyone??

Submitted Friday, March 30, 2012 - 1:41pm [Dine in]

Recently was back in Calgary for my son's wedding. Last day there decided on Sunday Brunch before heading back to Vancouver....great decision! There were about 12 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed most everything we tried. Whether you're a meat-eater of vegetarian you should find enough here to fill you up and make it worth your money too. From 2 kinds of bennys, to crispy pan-fried potatoes, mussels (not great, but fair), an omelet bar, fresh fruit trays, cheese platter and decadent breakfast pastries and a whole bunch more, there is an ABUNDANCE of choice. Fresh juices, coffee and tea....
Like french toast, check. Waffles? Check. Cinnamon buns, check, check! Not being much for sweets i stuck to the savory choices and the fruit. Very satisfying experience. I went away comfortable and knowing that if in the city on a Sunday again, i'd be game to go back. Even though i don't have a huge appetite, i still felt it was good value for the price. Good ambience and service too.

Best Chicken Wings in Calgary. And only "19 cents" on Wednesdays from 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm and all day on Sundays (with Happy hour drink pricing all day). And there were so many sauce flavors to choose from for our wings.

Can't wait to go back and try the "1 Cent Ribs" on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm.

The service from our waitress was outstanding. The drink specials we incredible. All while I watched 3 different games at once on very large, flat screen T.V.s.

I will defintely be back to this little gem of a pub.

The best food! I love it going to this restaurant to eat. It's a neat way to change up your dinning experience. It's Louisiana style food for a pretty good deal. It's a great family place or a great spot to eat before you head to a football game. The hush puppies and the deep fried pickles are awesome! Num Num
