Eight of us went there last night - about a $400.00 tab only to be ruined by a shrieking 2-year old. None of the management or staff would say anything to the parents of the infant and it was a TERRIBLE experience. I would equate it to going to Chuckie Cheese. (This was at 8:00 p.m., by the way.) COMPLETELY MISMANAGED by the staff whose goal it should be to satisfy ALL of the patrons. For the $400.00+ that we paid, the food was overdone, the salad bar was mediocre, and I had to ask one of the staff to please check the pile of plates because many of them still had food on them (disgusting). The money would have been better spent at a more professional ADULT restaurant.
I can not really believe it, the food was served today was maybe one week old sushi from fridge, and
Teriyaki chicken shrimp was disgustingly untasty
People were waiting on a long line, And they serve terrible food, I had to through into garbage, never will eat there again. I do like Edo's food, but this location was terrible.
This New Year we had an opportunity to go to Muse for their 98/per person special. All I can say is wow, was it NOT worth it. The food although laid out nicely on the plate was bland at best, and being kicked out after 2 hours despite spending nearly 800.00 including drinks for the evening was a bitter pill to swallow. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I most definitely won't be going back.
With the latest changes the new management is doing a great job of converting the place into a local hangout joint. Famous for its goat curry which peoe come for repeatidly.
Very nice place for lunch in the business park.
Dinner take out is beneficial.
Overall a very nice indian restaurant for the foothills business park and for adjoining communities like Erin woods, Meckenzie town and copperfield.
I gave this to go restaurant one more chance. I just moved into the area and always used the dairy queen close to my old address. Both times they've done the orders wrong. Gave them one more chance today. I should have known while they were opening and closing the hamburgers with their bare hands multiple times that they didn't know which was which.
I made a point of asking the lady that I didn't see the onion rings, she advised they were in the box. Nope not in box, plus 4 hamburgers 2 were wrong.
I finally called and complained. She said "I just seen the box I do nothing wrong". That is where you are wrong, the MacDonalds across the street is so busy, not because it's cheap but because everyone in the neighborhood comments on how many times they can get a wrong order at this Dairy Queen.
I will never be back.
I have been to this cafe several times now. My first experience was a caramel latte that blew my mind.
My second experience was stumbling into a live music event. No cover, local artists and it was great. Plus red wine is on the menu.
Daytime atmosphere is welcoming and warm, evening atmosphere is so perfectly chill. What else can I say.
This place is a hidden gem. The design is full of stimulating art. The atmosphere is one of a kind and the coffee and food is fantastic!! It is located in the heart of East Village. Great service and the products (food & coffee) are from local producers! I want to see this place grow! Best coffee I have had in Calgary - finally! I will be visiting for wine tonight before my night out on the town!
We ordered salt and pepper crab and shrimp fried rice. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked.
Our waitress her name is Kiki she's very attentive and all smiles. We ask her to give us cutleries coz we don't know how to use chopsticks and she came back rushing. She even gave us a free dessert.
This place is awesome !
We stayed at Econolodge and chose this place because of its rating and only few steps away from the hotel. The food was out of this world! We shared the grilled platter with garlic rice and ohhh my, it was so tasty.
Wow! That's all we can say, it was wonderful, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was totally awesome! Dishes were top notch! You must try...
This was the first time for me at this location and was worried the place would not be as good.
Still a winner, food is the same and consistent, great service and warm atmosphere. Will definitely come back for more. I just love how the sushi platter is presented to you, just make it very inviting.
I have the misfortune of huffing in the disgusting scent of this restaurant every morning and evening, coming and leaving work.
Against my better judgement, I decided to try the Waffle Sandwich. What a mistake. There is no silver lining in this dark cloud. Poorly crafted soggy waffles. Think Best Western breakfast (but worse). Incorrectly and over seasoned grease 'patty' and some other grease fried mystery meat and burnt egg. Add some lettuce and tomato for no apparent reason and you have this monstrosity. After one bite and and glistening fingers I had to put it down spit it out and rinse my mouth with Listerine. Why would anyone want to eat this? Why? I guess it's a less messy way to commit suicide. The potato pancakes were just soggy vegetable oiled rinsed hashbrowns shaped into a hockey puck and lazily fried on the flat top. The food is bad, and I've heard nothing but poor reviews from colleagues and other tenants in the building.
The service and staff are bizarre. I'm sorry to be rude and blunt, but don't have an open kitchen if you're going to have your staff create food and service clients looking like they just rolled out of bed without appropriate kitchen attire. Also staff conducts themselves as if they're in a dive bar. Which leads me to the ambiance of this place. Not much to say I guess, It's ugly, and absolutely designed by a guy. I've never seen more than 2 people in this place where safeway/bumpy's and good earth are always busy.
It's unfortunate that we waited over a year for a restaurant to open downstairs only to get this.
Overhaul your staff, menu, pricing and cooking practices and maybe you'll be successful. Or Don't. I don't care, I won't ever be back
Sometimes the truth hurts.
Food - Ordered the pulled chicken sandwich. This consisted of large chunks of dry, flavorless chicken breast (and some other pieces) dipped in some type of orange/red sauce with lettuce and cheddar cheese. There was too much lettuce and bread. I found myself pulling off pieces to get to the meat. The only side was a pickle. The single worst pickle I have ever tried. It tasted like a cucumber had been soaked in vinegar for fifteen minutes then rinsed off with tepid water.
Service - People seemed friendly enough. However when they pass you the terminal to pay with card you have to tip 10, 20 or 25% before you've even tried the food!? I'm not a fan of tipping when I have to go up to pay, order and retrieve my food.
Value - Over priced. Was maybe a $6.50 sandwich tops.
Ambiance - I don't think they could decide what look they were going for. Decorations really only amounted to a bunch of printed google image search old pictures related to the word dominion. Music was good but didnt
My wife and i dined here tonight celebrating our 10 year anniversary and we were treated wonderfully by the staff. The food was superb and the wine recommended by our waiter was perfect. Thank you Osteria for the great experience. We look forward to our dining experience at your restaurant. Well done!
I enjoy this restaurant every time i dine here. recently they revamped their menu to include dozens of wine by the glass and renovated to offer a casual dining area so i now go without my formal attire and fit right in.. and they now have a very large patio that seems to get sun all day long.. it keeps getting better.. thanx Osteria i look forward to my next visit.
My husband and I had our 15th anniversary at osteria and we were delighted. Everything was perfect, the food the service are just outstanding. The owners even bought us a bottle of champagne for our special night which was very kind of them. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
This little pub is becoming one of my favorites places to go. The staff is amazing, very welcoming and friendly. The food is traditional pub food, but with a twist. We started with wings and Spinach Dip, both so delicious!! Then had a big 'Cheeseburger Pizza', which was the best pizza ever. Homemade crust and sauce. Finished every bite. Would recommend this place!!
I ordered 4 lasagna from my home in Saskatchewan. I wanted it delivered at 5:30 pm in Calgary to our nieces home as she just had an adorable little boy July 16. But has been a pretty sick woman. Her mother and father are their taking care of mommy and the two lil tykes (2 yrs & 4 yrs old) PLUS daddy. So Gramma and Gramps have their hands full. That's why I sent food "NO COOKING" for at least one night last week.
The two fussy little ones loved the lasagna they totally enjoyed it... as did the rest of the family. The garlic toast was an extremely nice touch.
For having to do everything by phone it was wonderful that it all went so well and I want to thank Tom and his staff (delivery guy included) for the wonderful service. Sorry I forgot all about the tip for the driver. He wasn't shy though he insisted they add it to my credit card. :( oh well. I truly did forget about you.
Once again a huge thank you to Boston Pizza for being so helpful and prompt.
Well I have been coming to this place for about 4 years now and I consider it to be consistently good, it's not great just good! In the years I have come my only complaint is the occasional dirty glass or utensil but I'll blame the dishwashing machine for that the ladies that work here mean nothing more than to please.
In my experience the options for +15 eateries can be a gamble, if you're lucky... meh but mostly yuck, or the feeling you paid way too much for a simple turkey sandwich however, this place definitely stands out. Lunch specials are a steal and the subs are spectactular. Pair quality ingredients with super friendly service and you have a stand out winner. Here you will find an owner who actually cares what you are eating (not someone who relies on high traffic to turn a profit) and is proud to tell you where he sources the bread, how the meat is marinaded etc. and you can certainly taste the difference. Well done :)
I want to start off saying the service was very good. The waitress was helpful in choosing items I was unfamiliar with.
However, I didn't really enjoy it. Maybe this place just didn't suite my taste buds. We had the pork hock and some sort of noodle stir fry. I did ask the waitress for more traditional Filipino dishes and she recommended these.
I'm not going to give it a dislike but probably won't be back.
