Bowness Pub is a newly renovated and revamped neighborhood pub. This quant little pub has devilishly good food, featuring build your own thin-crust pizza's, poutine, burgers, and more. 13 flat screen T.V.'s, live music, pool table, games, VLT's, and the friendliest staff this side of the Rockies.
Me and the hubby decided to check out the new pub. Hadn't been in there in years. Food was pretty good, and the bartender was really friendly (which was a nice change). Apparantly the new owners are in the middle of doing more outside renovations. Looking forward to seeing the new changes! Certainly a welcome change from the old place.
After a complete overhaul of the formally grungy Pig and Pint, the new Bowness Pub is everthing that the emerging community needs. Friendly staff, great pub grub, and a warm feel. I had the thin-crust pizza and it was wickedly good. They have some interesting items such as a build your own poutine, and deep-fried pickles which my wife absoutely loved. While certainly modernized, the owners have maintained the true Bowness community spirit through some amazing photographs of the area from the early 1900's. Very cool!
