Simply put, awful experience!
This is a restaurant that my guests and I will never return to. I couldn't possibly have anything nice to say about this restaurant. Three of my guests received their meals 40 minutes after everyone else had already been served and as a result they had to eat alone. Two of those meals were pizza, which should be quick. The owner Tony, was unwilling to be understanding in any way when we mentioned this to him, worst owner I have ever met. If you want customers to return to your restaurant and you make an honest mistake with the orders that causes some of them to be late then you should apologize to them. Instead, Tony began to yell at me stating that he was being mistreated simply because I had mentioned that three of our meals were 40 minutes late. On top of all of this, we were charged a $25 cake cutting fee for a cake that we brought, cut, and served ourselves!!! I am in disbelief that a restaurant owner would yell at customers the way that he did and cares so little about his business. When I told him he would not be in business for very long if he continues to treat customers this way, his response was "good, I rather lock the doors". Complete jerk and do not recommend Allegro restaurant in Bolton to ANYONE!
I'll admit - the food was good. It was served hot, was tasty, and at a reasonable price. However, the service and the shape of the restaurant was poor to say the least. All around the tables you can see food lying on the ground from previous diners, the tables were not wiped properly, the waitresses were not friendly - and one of them even had her thong hanging out of her pants. There have been times I have gone in to eat and heard a woman shouting in the back, or even right out in the open in front of the customers - not exactly what you want to hear first thing in the morning when you're trying to eat. I have gone here several times, either just to grab a coffee or to eat breakfast. Every time I grab a coffee, what I am served is not exactly what I ordered, I was given a coffee with bad cream in it and when I told the girl serving me, she asked if I wanted a new one - of coarse..? When I asked for a double cup the girl working gave me two " roll up the rim " cups.. Can't complain about that one. There's been a few times I have gone in and waited in the coffee time lineup for over 15 minutes for one order.
So if you don't mind terrible service, or horribly dirty floors and tables, the food is worth it! However I may suggest getting take out.
