I would give 4* for food but it is just yogurt...

I've been enjoying Yogen Fruz ever since I was a wee toddler. Only 2 times can I remember it wasn't as good or 'filled up to the top' satisfactory :) Good for them, their frozen yogurt is delicious! I noticed their new look now on the cup, and the new renovation at Metrotown. I don't mind the location, to those who complain there's no where to sit, it's not the freaking food court duh. I love how Purdy's is a few metres away, competition in your face as you line up contemplating, ahhhh which one which one? I'll help you out. If you want a bigger portion of dessert including a fresh waffle cone for your buck, go to Purdy's. If you feel like a tangy dessert with yogurty flavour (blueberry's the besT) go to Yogen Fruz. I haven't bothered to check how much their menu is now, they had better not increased the price, it was already so price last time I went. It's probably around $4! for a regular sized regular yogurt (yogurt (non fat or no sugar too) goes through this machine mixed with your choice of fruit) and is then "blendeD" and delicious. I definitely would choose yogen fruz over purdys anytime IF I could afford it.

I for one do not like their new look nor renovations. It looks like they're trying to pull of being pinkberry, actually I saw several ppl eating a pinkberry lookalike in the mall, lame....it's just yogurt with fruit toppings (not blended). Their new "bright, white, modern" look like they're trying too hard. Bring back the gloomy blue setup!

I was very much looking forward to trying it. I just had a chocolate yogurt not the yogurt blended with frozen fruit. The guy got out what looked like two frozen fudgicles without the sticks and ran them through this big machine. There was lots of labour involved and spraying water. The end result was a long tube of frozen chocolate yogurt in my cup that was very very hard and stiff. I didn't enjoy it as it was not soft at all and freezing cold. Guess I had the wrong thing. As for ambiance there is not even anywhere to sit and eat your purchase as its in the middlle of the mall not the food court. And to the person in the review that says they are trying to lose weight and has Yogun Fruz 3 times a week; good luck as your doomed to failure with this approach to weight loss. You need to permanently change your eating habits.

guilt-free ice cream :)

food: if i was to base this review only on the taste,
i probably would've gave it a 3. However, considering
how much healthier this is to ice-cream, the taste is
pretty awesome. you can get your frozen yogurt
low-fat, non-fat, or no sugar and no fat, and you can choose
between chocolate & vanilla then either mix in fruits/nuts/candy
or top it off. yogen fruz is a necessity for me since i simply need
my fix of guilt-free dessert every time i hit the mall.

service: decent & fast. not much more to say. the guy owner is
pretty nice at accomodating to complicated requests.

value: i always wonder why healthier foods always cost more.
one cup of yogurt ranges between 3-5 dollars depending on
the size. if you're a student, show them a spc card if you got
one, you get 10% discount i believe.

ambiance: even though the metrotown one is pretty much
"food-court" style, the location is pretty good since
it's NOT in the food court, and at a busy section
so it's more convenient to get to. the reason i gave
it a 4 is because they had a renovation about a year ago
and it helped not only their appearance, but even their
business a lot. the menu is also a lot more clearer now.

better than ice cream!

I loooooove yogen fruz. Not only because of it's healthy yogurt, but also of the taste and the new design! I remembered few years ago there are only a few people lining up for it, but now, the line up has grown long! Mainly because of the new fresh look and also the variety it provides as a healthy substitution. I love the new matcha yogen with blackberries! With yogen, I'm 100% willing to substitute my sinful ice cream to this healthy "ice cream"!

I really enjoy finding my frozen yogurt from yogen fruz, they have plenty of stores in Vancouver for us to visit. when I need a snack and I know where to go if I am at the mall. They have such tasty products. I admit I visit them 3-4 times per week. It is really helping me with my diet. Not to many places where the food is great tasting and the product is actually healthy for me without making me get bigger.
