bibimbap..

i ordered the dolsot bibimbap and used a moderate amount of hot sauce. Seeing my reaction to the spiciness and hot temperature of the food one of the hostess kindly took pity and came back with a large medium-large sized bottle of water plus a cup. whether it was to save herself the trips or for my convenience I don't know but the water was greatly appreciated. I absolutely love dolsot bibmbap so the pain was worth it. very delicious! the price is slightly higher than other korean restaurants i've been to but if given the chance i wouldn't mind eating here again.

Me and a friend were craving Korean so we just went to this place since its close by. If we really wanted great Korean food then we would have driven to Coquitlam. Been here a few times and the staff is always friendly. Had the bbq chicken and rice with veggies in a stone bowl. I was expecting the rice to cook on the sides and get crispy since the bowl was hot but it never did. The food was pretty good but I expected a little better. Love the doorbells on the table to get their attention. Would come again but not anytime soon.

Aside from Raku Raku [Always Busy] close to Fitness World and Chosun close to Joyce... this place rocks!!! They greet me as if I am Korean. LOL. No... I just look like one.

First time here, I was so impressed, I gave them $20 tip. Second time, I learned to order in moderation. Instead of the Combo for 2, seafood plus an extra order of Jap-Jae and other goodies, I just go for the Combo... enough to feed 3.

Comes with Korean side dishes. They refil it for you. The lady comes by and helps cook and prepare it in front. She cuts the meat for you as well.. make sure you don't burn anything. If you do, she changes the grill and uses a new one.

Ask for Korean Hot Sauce. Jap Jae is juicy. The one @ Chosun is Dry. Really really good.

Dessert is this slush made with tea. Yummy... could have had more of that. Price is comparable to other Korean restaurants in town.

Would go back and tip more. Just great service...

Food was very good. We had the korean BBQ beef and potato noodle dish.

The portion size was large. Couldn't finish it and had to take it home. Meal came wiith the standard Korean side dishes, soup (was disappointed it was miso soup) and a cabbage salad. Very yummy.

It is not cheap eats but the price is very reasonable considering the portion sizes. We would most definetly go back.

The only caveat is the environment. You have Korean MTV playing fairly loudly in the back ground. Not a romantic place, nor a place for quiet conversation. However we did not have a booth so experience inside a booth may be different.
