The food here is mediocre, depending on what you get. Their chicken kefthes were alright but pasta is quite bad. Their pasta is the kind you get from the supermarket. Their service is quite bad, mostly because there isn't enough servers. The same lady has to tend to most tables, including those on the patio. She tries hard, but is not able to take your order or refill your drinks in a timely manner. It took us twenty minutes to get the bill. The owner was downright rude when we visited on Valentines' Day. The food is quite expensive too, and is decent, but not great.

My Husband and I were trying to decide on where to go for Dinner finally we decided on Vassilis Souvlaki.
Upon entering we were sat by a gentleman which I am assuming is the owner, very friendly escorted us to our perfect little romantic table. It didnt take long before our friendly waitress came to take our drink orders, we ordered afew appies which were saganaki the greek fried cheese and garlic prawns. WOW i must say best saganaki i have had in a long time and the prawns cooked to perfection. Then we couldn't wait for dinner since the appies were so good. The waitress had let us know about a few specials the combo plate was one of them that I had and my husband had the Athenian chicken. The best greek food I have had in a lomg time not to mention the fantastic atmosphere and all the unique friendly servers. I will most definitly be back more than once. I highly reccomend this place to anyone.

I visited Vassilis to have dinner with my girlfriend the other night and I must say, I was more than impressed with the overall ambiance of the restaraunt which was great for our romantic dinner.

Upon arriving at the restaraunt, the staff was friendly in greeting us and quickly ushered us to our seat. The service was great throughout the night as we enjoyed a bottle of wine and some garlic prawns to start (which were incredible by the way!).

For dinner my girlfriend had the chicken souvlaki which was more than she could finish and I enjoyed probably the best roast lamb I have ever eaten. Both dishes were served hot and the portions were more than enough.

Overall it was a great night out and I would definitely recommend Vassilis to anyone who is hungry for some good food or just looking for a quiet and romantic dinner.

We enjoyed the food here many years ago but not so much anymore. But for some reason we end up going here once a year or every other year and realize why we don't rush back. Selection gets smaller each time. Rice was very oily. Potato was decent although not the typical Greek style with lemon juice which I love. Lamb chops and fish were overdone and tough. Must say tho the Lamb roast is still very good and just falls off the bone. Greek salad was tasteless and "they don't do any other kind of salad" ie caesar or house salad when asked for a substitution for one of our party members who is allergic to cucumbers. Bread came with no butter. When I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar for the bread I was told "she didn't think they had any" and walked away. Give me a break. A Greek restaurant without olive oil and vinegar. And I have to agree the manager is a miserable guy, always has been. It's too bad this restaurant is going downhill because the ambiance is nice but without the good food, service and hospitality we won't be rushing back. In fact, making a mental note to go elsewhere instead.

food is amazing. ordered a roast lamb thing, a seafood platter, and an appy of kalamari. great food. expect to spend about 50 dollars/ person for a good size meal. the meat was absolutely amazing! the waitress was gorgeous as well! although not as friendly with the not so pretty people like me. the environment is good, the music is good. i would recommend it and go back there for the same foods. highly recommended.

two days ago, my wife and i went out for dinner for our anniversary, and had an amazing time. we ordered the fried cheese, and calamari to share, and for dinner I had the roast lamb, and my wife had the chicken souvlaki, everything was fantastic not to mention the enormous portions. and quality of the food. The decor was fantastic, I felt like I was on a Greek island looking over the Mediterranean. The service was very good as well.We will be frequent visitors to Vassilis Souvlaki.
