For the budget-minded

The menu has a good selection of Vietnamese sandwiches, noodle soups, rice and combo dishes, all at very good prices. I had a traditional noodle soup the other day and it was pretty good. It was probably not laden with MSG as I felt quite all right afterwards. It was a good lunch except for one thing: there was a young man (customer) who was severely linguistically deficient and had huge problem finishing any sentence without the use of the same swear word at least three times. Poor fellow, and he was loud too. I know this isn't the fault of the restaurant, but unfortunately, he looked like a regular, and this will play a part in my decision to return to this restaurant.

this place is really close to my house, and since the value isnt that bad and the pho is kinda okay i sometimes just go there to eat quick. dont expect super good pho there as you will be dissapointed. its more about decent pho with an okay service, and a pretty clean place, their pho is only 5 dollars, and if you are a student, youll get 10 percent discount as well, the spring roll is not the best. if you guys go here i reccomend you the vermicille with lemon grass chicken. it was decent :D

Best Pho in Burnaby

Taste of Asia is one of the best pho places around. The soup tastes authentic and not just packed with msg. Its a small place that is easily overlooked and does not have the best decor however they have the tastiest pho around. The people there are also very friendly, always smiling, which is rare for a pho establishment.

Not bad for the price

I usually order grilled chicken and rice. It costs $6.50. It is a large plate and not that bad. Overall, nothing spectacular. If you live close to here, its worth a try when you are craving something viet. Pho is relatively cheap too. Also, for students they accept SPC card for a 10% discount, which helps.

Great prices!

My wife and me started coming here after reading the reviews. There's not a lot of choices for Pho in North Burnaby.

Food is very tasty. Only complaint is the MSG in the food - I always get thirsty after eating here.

Prices are very reasonable here - where else can you find Pho for $5 these days? We usually complement our meals with a small order of spring rolls (about the size of a small thumb) 6 for $2!

Service is friendly and fast - you get greeted and seated right away. After your food is served, they pretty well leave you at peace.

Ambience is not typical Vietnamese though (i.e. no neon lights, mirrors, and Vietnamese music). They do, however, have a large TV at the front!

I was looking for some pho and this little restaurant was just what I wanted! Service is very friendly and attentive, good tea, pho was delicious and hot, and the little spring rolls were tasty too. And fast - I had to get back to work and there was no problem packing up and paying in a hurry. Did I mention cheap? I'll be back!

A taste of Asia has a variety of great vietnamese food. They serve pho, subs, rice, vermicelli and a lot more. I have been there a lot and everytime i go there i am satisfied. Not only is their food really cheap compared to other vietnamese places ive gone to but the food is really great and healthy for you. Their service is good as well, the employees are always so friendly and nice, they always remember my name and my usual dishes whenever i go there. They also make their food pretty fast too, so i dont always have to wait a long time either. I would highly reccommend visiting this restaurant, They have great food at great prices! I always enjoy my visit.

Awesome Vietnamese Sandwiches!

We have visited this little restaurant a few times; and have always love their Vietnamese sandwiches! We order the barbecue meat versions and they are always "oh so yummy"!

The place itself is simple; and therefore, offers little ambiance. Since we're only there to grab a quick bite, and the place looks clean and tidy, I don't mind.

The deep fried spring rolls are really good as well.
