What I like about the previous owners of this small cafe, was that they offered up something different than the average soup n' sandwich place. After they sold their business, the new owners took over and business flopped. The food quality just wasn't the same.
Now, it's changed ownership again, but there's no more greek food and pizza. It's a sandwich and grill joint, however, they do offer a daily hot meal selection.
I've enjoyed the food there, but it's nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary.
This cafe is newly occupying unit #17 since Friday, August 15. I highly recommend visitors to the previous cafe to try out "Spoons"! The menu is different and offers some unique items. I tried the "Veggie & Swiss" burger today. It was lovely - the veggie patty had a delicate crispiness to it. It was dressed with a small amount of grilled onions, and served on a sesame seed bun.
The tables now all have tablecloths on them, and the cutlery is new. The staff seem eager to please. Prices all include GST now too, so no more hunting for pennies!
