Pho Thai Ho is a Vietnamese Restaurant offering a menu of Vietnamese cuisine including Pho (noodle soup) and Banh Mi (Viet Subs).
Tried this new restaurant in the area for some Pho on a rainy day.
The place was crowded for the noon lunch crowd, but there was a table for four available for two adults and two 4 year olds. The room was a little crowded with tables - I would not attempt to bring a stroller or wheelchair for dine-in at this place.
It took a while for for staff to take our order and we had to wait a bit for a our food as they were busy (in fact, they were so busy that I was not able to order a salty lime soda drink as the server advised she had no time to prepare it!).
Notwithstanding this - when the food arrived - it was heavenly. The Pho had a tasty broth without the usualy taste of MSG or extra saltiness. The noodles were perfectly cooked. I ordered the Pho Tai Gan (Rare beef and tendon noodle soup). The rare beef was nicely layered and the tendon tender. There was a very generous portion of basil and sprouts to add (along with the requiste lime and chili). The Banh mi ga nuong (Lemongrass grilled chicken sub) was served on soft, warm bread and the Lemon grass chicken was of ample.
My friend had the Goi cuon ga Lemongrass Chicken Salad Roll). I tried a piece, it was delicious and came with a wonderful and amply portioned peanut dipping sauce. Soooo good!
Along with the standard Hoisin Sauce, Fish Sauce, Soy Sauce and Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, there was a mild ginger sauce on the table that was extremely tasty.
The meal was served with a delicious tea and water for the girls.
The large Pho was $7.00 (they gave me a smaller bowl for sharing with my daughter). The Banh mi was $4.50. The pop was $1.50. My entire bill was under $17 including tax and 15% tip.
This will be my new local Pho place!!
