Nothing to see ... move along ...

Okay, so it's a clean place with decent ambience. The service is kind of nice, half-friendly, nothing to complain about but not exactly the warmest place in town either.
I guess it's all about the parfait? Hmm, for nearly $7, they better be darn good parfaits. Well ... if I whipped this up in my kitchen, I'd be pretty darned please with myself. Is it tasty? Yes. Is it amazing? No, not even close. Is it good value, definitely no.
Maybe the selling point is that there's nothing else in the area like it, but for my money, if I'd a hankering for a nice place to chill and have some good desserts, I'd head to Berry Good. (And if you're doing homework, there's a place called the library if you don't like your room. It's not place to do real work).

Great parfait and Great Americano

I visited Parfait a pia, a small store, across from TGI Fridays of Metrotown this week. Never had a Parfait before, but eh, its actually good! Gelato with cookie crumbs, fresh fruit, sponge cake and other stuff thats good all layered artfully, into a delicious treat. The mood with its mellow orange walls and soft comfortables couches was perfect for all the friends I brought to chat and eat. I didn't know they had wireless internet either. Its a good place to study, the people are good, customers that come in seem to be regulars. Its a much quieter place to study than Waves, so crouded. Check it. I rate a A+.

Cozy Coffee Shop, desserts look good

Came in here cuz waves and bbworld on kingsway were both PACKED. We just wanted coffee and to our pleasant surprise, I think we've found our hangout spot. This place looks like it just opened so there was only one other couple in the shop having dessert. We had Americano coffee instead of the decaf we ordered at no extra charge. VERY GOOD. My frnd's milk tea was average she says. However, their parfaits looked excellent, lots of icecream in the cup. Their cakes looked not too bad either. They also serve paninis I think. Good place to chat cuz it's quiet. They got mags and even a chess board. Only complain is that when the owners' friends came in, they basically ignored us and I don't think they even noticed that we had left the store.
