Quaint and quiet restaurant offers authentic South Indian/Sri Lankan [Tamil] dishes including a lunch buffet.
This place is one of perhaps three in the Lower Mainland that serves South Asian (Indian and Sri Lankan) food including dosas. Dosas, for those who might not know, are delicious oversized rice and lentil crepes wrapped around your choice of a variety of fillings e.g. potatoes or chicken. This place makes the best, no question. All the constituent parts of all the dishes we tried were distinctive and brightly flavoured. All the food was very fresh and expertly prepared. Service was very attentive and friendly. The room is a little stiffly decorated for my taste, but a minor fault in my opinion. Will become a regular haunt of mine.
I have been to this restaurant twice with friends and I found the food to be very good both times. I really enjoy South Indian cuisine and have been looking for South Indian restaurant around the neighborhood for a while. I am quite happy when I found this place. The last time, we were there we ordered Chicken tikka masala, Chicken Lurma, Biryani, Sambar Vadal and South Indian coffee. All the dishes were quite wonderful. We also ordered Fish Pakoras and it was delicious. If you are looking for South Indian food, this is a good place to try.
