The One Restaurant is owned by the same owners as Lao Shan Dong Noodle House. Variety of Taiwanese food with no MSG. Also selection of bubble tea, hot drinks, and desserts.
I haven't been to too many Taiwanese restaurants before so dropped by on a weekday. Was not busy as it was before 6pm. The place had a nice spacious feel to it with many booths but they had these stuffed animals or pillows in the entrance that made it look like a kids place but I think their usual customers like this type of decor. The menu was pretty big with specials and then their regular menu. Lots of set dinners much like a HK Cafe would have. Tried their fish which was deep fried - big piece and nicely done. Came with 4 side dishes which included chicken (Ok but sort of out of place), green beans - good, scramble eggs and tomato - good, and some diced carrots/celery and minced beef - not bad. Price was in the $10 range which was reasonable. Also tried their beef tendon/beef shank with some sort of noodle like vermecelli but I think it's made out of some sort of bean - good portion and very tasty. Also tried the spicy wontons. Overall not bad with quick service. Price for 3 people was approx. $40 all in.
In this restaurant, there is no waiting time for your seats. Portion sizes of their food are enormous, and quality are very good. On the other hand their restaurant is loud and noisy, not a suitable place for you to go if you want a romantic dinner. Price range are from $10-20 per person.
