My last several visits at Metrotown have included equal visits to Mrs. Fields for their pretzel bites. Shopping really does exert some physical activity and my gf and I needed a pick me up before dinner.
Tiny, tiny storefront with a small display case showcasing their specialty, cookies. We ordered a large cup of sour cream and onion powdered pretzel bites and a dozen miniature "nibbler" cookies while we waited. The bitesized morsels were soft, a little chewy and totally addictive. The freshly made pretzel bites were their usual goodness, slightly crisp on the outside, slightly chewy on the inside, and warm. The powdered stuff had a hard time clinging to the bites and most ended up at the bottom of the cup, while the flavour itself was on the timid side. Total cost was just a hair under $10, steep for snack food, and we didn't even get their somewhat gimmicky cookie cake.
Very friendly asian staff, and they deal with the lineup as quick as they can, though wait expect to wait as much as 10-12 minutes depending on what you order.
Expensive, but I haven't said no to it yet.
