For over 30 years we’ve been creating raving fans with our signature thin crust which is layered and pressed over 100 times by our custom-made dough rollers. We make and prime our dough right here. Fresh, every day. These are the folks who valiantly fend off the 2 for 1's and the conveyor oven pizzerias of BC and keep Me-n-Ed's pizza a dish that is meant to be savoured, not gobbled. These people are the owners and there is always at least one at every location.
My wife and I decided to try the place out after seeing the decent reviews on the site and we have the entertainment book so we figured to use that up. Boy was I glad we didn't pay full price. Seriously, $20 for a medium?
I didn't like the pizza at all...the crust was like cardboard and it just tasted weird in general.
My husband and I often eat at and order from Me N Eds. The pizza is good and doesn't seem to be too greasy or unhealthy. They load on the toppings too! One thing I don't like is that they put cheddar cheese on the pizza (I never have liked that) but that's just a matter of preference.
I can't complain about the service although the seat yourself thing can be awkward.
Ambiance is nothing special...a bit cheap, but it's a pizza place, right?
I don't think the value is that great although they do have daily specials...
I just don't get it. I respect all opinions...but I am totally shocked people actually love this pizza.
I LOVE good pizza and tried this based on recommendations. Our family also at one time owned a highly regarded (Best of winner) pizza place in Van for about 15 years.
I honestly think this is the worst crust I've ever had for pizza. It literally tasted and had the texture of saltine crackers. And the tomato sauce was the blandest I've tried...no zest and no zing. Aweful.
To be fair, the toppings and cheese were excellent! But really...this sucked. Completely ruined by this horrible crust and sauce. And not cheap either.
I went expecting so-so food, was pleasantly suprised by the selection and quality of the pizza available. And you can get a decent pint at a decent price.
Family restaurant atmosphere. Definitely less fast-foody than the external appearance would have you believe.
It looks like a classic pizza parlour, and that's what I was looking forward to. I did not expect the high prices, the weak service, or the mediocre food. The garlic bread starter was no better than a pair of hot dog buns cut in half and buttered. The pizza was greasy, light on the toppings, and cooked to a crisp. The cheese was almost nonexistent. The crust did have a fresh baked yeasty flavour, so I will give them credit for that. It wasn't enough to save the meal though. For what we paid, we could have ordered in a far better pizza and saved ourselves the trip.
good old school pizza. Nothing fancy, but good hearty stuff. Kids love the food. Friendly waitress (except the guys behind the counter who are always angry).
lots of tv sets to distract while you eat.
