Not fancy but food is good

We've gotten take out from here a few times. The operators are Chinese and are efficient. They're not all smiles but no complaints since we only get takeout. They did offer water or tea while I waited and since they took a long time to get the order ready, they gave me two free Pepsi Colas .
We ordered five dishes and a soup. Came to $46. that's about $10 a dish. They were packed in those nice plastic containers with see-thru covers. Free egg rolls with every takeout order. Sitting, waiting for my order I noticed not many other diners on a Saturday night. The decor is cold and not that fancy. Big screen tv on the wall. Lots of takeout orders going out the door. Plenty of street parking on Hastings.

Very Dissapointed

I ordered the prawn and vegetable chow mein and the crispy ginger beef. I was told my order would take an hour. The food was already pretty cold when I arrived (10 mins after they called to tell me it was ready). When I got the food home, there was only 6 small prawns and almost no veggies in the chow mein, Many of the ginger beef pieces had no actual beef in them. They just tasted like crispy pieces of batter.

I called to let them know about the lack of substance in the chow mein and the taste of the ginger beef. The owner was incredibly rude and raised his voice repeatedly even though I was very polite. I was told that if I didn't like it I should not come back, which I certainly won't be doing. It would have been fine had they apologized (I wasn't even asking for my money back) but given the terrible customer service on top of the poor food quality I will not be going back despite being a semi-regular customer previously.
