HK-style cafe located in Crystal Mall in Burnaby.
I was indecisive as usual at Crystal Mall faced with all available choices. I also wanted to try someplace new so I joined the long line for this place.
I'm picky so I decided to try one of their baked mini-meals with drink for $4.50. It was an amazing value, and the portion sizes were still fairly large and perfect for snacks. The leftovers reheated well the next day as well, I overbaked my dish while reheating and the rice became all lovely and crunchy.
I love portuguese curry chicken ever since having it in Macau, and I chose this for the mini-meal, it was a curry sauce mixed with some veggies and boneless chicken. The chicken wasn't battered but might have been deep fried. There was more chicken then I was expecting.
I chose iced coffee for my beverage and I was impressed at how generous they were with the condensed milk.
Overall this was $4.50 well spent for comfort food!
Libo in Crystal Mall is very popular amongst the lunch time crowd at Crystal Mall. For under $8, you get a large portion of whichever item you choose from their menu and a drink. They usually have daily specials for about $6. They changed owner recently, and in my opinion it just isn't the same. The food hasn't changed very much, but the owner who also serves here has gone.
Expect to be full if you come here for lunch. Last time I ordered their lunch special of breaded sole on pasta with cream sauce. I had a lot left over.
