As the title (and their menu) implies, this cafe offers Vietnamese Subs on the front of their menu for $5.00/$6.00 and Vietnamese Cuisine on the back: Pho, stew & bun, soups, grilled lemon grass chicken, meat balls, spring rolls, stir fry, grilled port chops, fried chicken, rice ($6.25-$7.99). Inside the menu, a variety of western & international fare: chicken strips, fries, wings, salad, spring rolls, borscht, breakfasts, (western) sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, steak, teriyaki stir fry - a small but eclectic menu selection.
With my wife & girls, we had 2 bowls of the House Special Pho Dac Biet (2x$6.99) and the girls shared a grilled cheese sandwich & fries ($5.25). The girls raved about the sandwich, and we enjoyed our 2 generous bowls of tasty beef noodle soup. The bean sprouts were already in the soup, along with thin slices of beef, several pieces of meat balls & tendon. Not outstanding, but quite good and sated our lunch appetite. I'll be back to try out their Vietnamese sandwiches, maybe a grill chicken/pork chop rice dish.
There's a good size parking lot at the side, and it's close to Richmond Park & the Eastburn Community Centre (which will be transformed to a new $40M, 88,000 sq. ft. Edmonds Pool & Community Centre, to be completed in late 2011/early 2012).
