Bad Chicken
By jackal of Burnaby (2 Reviews)
Submitted Thursday, November 18, 2010 - 12:19am [Take-out]

Bought the 10 piece special on Monday (Nov. 15/10).
Prompt service, no line up for the drive thru (Possibly a hint)
Got home and took a piece of chicken, skin colour was alot darker than normal for original recipe.
Out side texture was quite tough.
Chicken was dry and hard.
So it was either deep friend several times or the oil hasn't been changed in quite awhile?
Not sure why it was so bad.
But I won't be going back there anytime soon.

Seriously??? This KFC in the middle of Hastings closes at 8pm!! Always slow to get my order. Staff always look like a bunch of chicken with their head chopped off running around. Always run out of spicy chicken, and the original chicken looks like pieces chopped off a midget chicken. 2 bites and it's done. Love KFC, but this one just amazingly suck!!

This is the WORST KFC in the history of all KFC restaurants!!

I used to frequent this place a lot when I was younger, but everything - from the food to the service - has slipped dramatically.

Food: It's your standard, oily chicken. The only thing that's even worth buying here is the Macaroni Salad. Twonie Tuesdays are plausible, but not anything satisfying anymore. There are even times where there is still blood on the chicken! Gross!

Service: I don't know where to even begin about the HORRIBLE service. There's a team member named Ranjit who is always rude and can never get orders right. One time, I ordered a Spicy Big Crunch, and I had to repeat the order FOUR times before she got it right! She even yelled at me as if it was my MY fault...my friends even heard me say it, and they were sitting in the stools! They're bad with coupons too. Sometmes they'll allow modifications, and sometimes they won't. A good example is on one occasion when a team member wouldn't let me get gravy instead of a soft drink because her manager was in the restaurant....when a week prior, she let me do the swap for the gravy! And the manager? Oh goodness...the manager is terrible. All she knows how to do is yell at customers. Lineups are always long, and, despite having TWO cash registers, there is only one cashier to take your order. I've filed complaints against this location many times and have yet to have had any of my complaints addressed. Of all the team members there....I can't even think of ONE who knows what they're doing.

Value: Depends on what you get. Twonie Tuesday, if it's cooked properly, is the only thing that's worth it there. If you have coupons, it's worth it. The family meals are probably cheaper here, compared to other locations.

Ambiance: It's a fast food restaurant - it's only stools and a tiled floor. I must say that they do keep that area fairly clean.

Overall: Don't bother wasting your time here during peak periods. (6:00 - 8:00 every night.) It's not worth it. Come here if you want horrible customer service, and workers who don't have a clue as to what they're doing.
