Jumbo Cup offers an assortment of Bubble Tea drinks, gelato and coffees. Located close to SFU campus, Jumbo Cup is a great place to study, hang out and have yummy drinks in Burnaby. Free Internet Access is also avaliable!
I was craving some bubbletea and finally had a chance to get some from Jumbo. I walked into a spacious and clean space and ordered from their jumbo menu. I usually order regular milk teas, as opposed to slushes or fruit flavored ones. I had their milk honey green tea with pearls.
Service was friendly and I didn't wait long at all. Got home and took a sip and was kind of thrown off by a "herbal" taste from the tea. Strange, but after a few sips, I hardly noticed it. Pearls were good - just the right al dente-ness and not too sweet.
It was a good deal at under $4 and I especially liked the massive variety of drinks they offer. Will be back, but next will try something other than the "herbal" tea.
After reading the previous esteemed reviewer's report on JC, I was determined to give it a try. The place is way out in the depths of Burnaby, and I was surprised to see there were so many shops in the area. I scrambled in I saw the comfy padded chairs and welcoming atmosphere, and I knew I was in the right place. They have a huge selection of coffees and teas, but I settled on a strawberry smoothie. At $3.25 it was a good deal since it had real fruit. FYI, regular BBT was 3 bucks. The server was a friendly sort, and my tasty smoothie was expertly prepared. I will definitely return for more.
I love the bubble tea at jumbocup! They use real fruits, none of the powder crap you get at some other bubble tea joints. The same quality of bubble tea you would get at bubble world minus the hassel of lining up, and crowdedess. Sometimes our friends we go hang out there, or I would bring my laptop to use their wireless internet. They do not serve hot foods at this place only instant noodles, but I heard their other location in coquitlam jumbo x-press does. My favorite is passion fruit green tea bubble tea with coconut jelly. hmmm!! yum!!
