We, wife and son, stopped in on a recent Friday night. I have driven by many times and thought the concept of Asian/Indian fusion to be worth a try. There was one other pair when we arrived. The place is clean, setting nothing special, its the food you go to the small mom and pop places for not the lighting or finishings.
We ordered a mixed pakora plate while we looked over the menu. The dished arrived about 10 min. later, it was a combination chicken, white fish and vegetable pakoras, quite good, though the veggie was a little heavy on the breading, maybe needed to hold the spinach and onion together?
We were all hungry and planned on left over so we ordered the Black Bean Chicken, Curried Beef, Beef and Broccoli, Bombay Prawns and a Chicken Fried Rice. It was a a lot of food for three, but hey I don't have to cook tonight!
The Bombay Prawns were a hit, breaded with a light curry flavour and a sticky, slightly sweet sauce, tamarind possibly?
Black Bean Chicken had had the right amount of tang. The Chicken Fried Rice was flavourful, though a touch dry. Beef and Broccoli was very good. Personally I wasn't a big fan of the Curried Beef, more Chinese than Indian on this one, this could be a fun dish if they used a vindaloo or masala instead.
Over all a good experience, I'd give it a 7 out of 10 and we do plan to go back, would make a good compromise when you can't decide between Indian or Chinese.
Oh yah, bill came to around $75, but that was a lot of food, essentially 6 plates and a meal for home.
