Serving a variety of Korean dishes and Japanese sushi. next to the Hannam Supermarket
I was hungering for sushi and standing on North Road, when I spotted this place nestled next to a big supermarket. It is a separate premises, and looks like a food court. I sidled up to the counter and after a brief scan of the menu, decided on some sushi.
The service was good, and the place looked nice and clean. the tables set out for diners could be a bit more tidy, but this place is more eat and run than dine and dance.
The sushi was prepared right in front of me and was made with decent, fresh ingredients. It was also not expensive, which is very important to me. If they upgraded the seating area, this place would achieve a measure of greatness. Well, almost.
Recommended.
If Hannam restaurant were to duplicate their operation in a mall food court and franchise it, they would blow every other Asian fast food outlet away. Authentic assorted Korean fare for food court prices, but restaurant quality. There is also unlimited self-serve hot Korean barley tea. One of this Korean's favourite spots for a quick Korean bite.
