Chinese food fair (Cantonese/Southern)
While killing some time at the Crystal Mall we went for a snack at the Fung May. Good choice! Sliced fish congee and beef brisket in noodles for under $10.00. Food was hot and tasty only bad thing was the crappy utensils but the only way around that is to bring my own. I have been to this food court many times and always found it to be very clean and functional.
I have bought take-out food from this place many times. Their food is always fresh and tasty, and the wait time very short. But the thing that impresses me most is the lady who takes the orders. She is always courteous and seems to take great pride in the food she serves, even though this is a fast food place and she's not likely to get any tips for her service.
I wanted to give a review for this little food fair stall. It's partial since we mainly get the fried rice and congee (my comfort food). The ingredients and dishes we get are fresh and hot. The congee has always been piping hot and tasty and even better than some sit down places. The fried rice freshly made and the BBQ pork is not chewy and dry like some places. The best part, no wait, maybe 3-5 minutes tops which I gladly wait for freshness. I've never tried any of the food in the trays but I've seen plenty order from them. I'm not sure but they may have raised the prices a tiny bit but for fried rice, congee, and donut it was $10.00. Why wait in long lines and get poor service in places like The Boss or Maxims?
This is probably the best porridge I've ever had in a while-- egg and fish. The cashier is very friendly to me, I think she's noticed that I've been a frequent customer. I also ordered the noodles with XO sauce, but I wasn't really a fan of it because it was spicy. Overall, this is a great restaurant, and I'll be definitely coming back for more dee-licious porridge.
