Tooth decaying pleasure

Cinnzeo cinnamon buns are one of those that actually smells better than it tastes, not because it's unappetizing but because of the insanely rush of sugar to your head when you bite into one of these. They tend to underbake these slightly so sometimes it's actually a little too doughy but I find they try to find a happy medium between soft and moist and doneness. A dash of cinnamon is an understatement it's literally layered through and through and you'd want to wash it down with a cup of tea or milk. They are expensive and are priced near novelty desserts.

The part timer staff there do ok but I've been subjected to the long lineups as they tend to bog down a little as customers pile in.

Mall setting so not the best spot to enjoy them, but at least they have some seating available if you don't care about the wandering foot traffic.

Bring a toothbrush for afterwards..

Ooey - Gooey Good

I had to pick up some purchases from the Real Canadian Stupid Store at Metropolis in Metrotown. I could smell the cinnamon from the outside of the garish oversized grocery store and felt compelled, like I was being lead by a tractor beam to Cinnzeo....

I had a cinnamon bun with extra frosting. It was warm and gooey and good. I am also pretty sure that I consumed my recommended caloric intake for the next day and a half without any recommended nutritional intake.

These buns are soft, full of cinnamon, super sweet and yummy. The coffee which I purchased to go with was nice too. It was brewed perfectly and hot.

The service was acceptable. Friendly and effecient.

The value is meh - it costs $3.99 for my cinnamon bun, plus an extra $0.85 for the side of frosting. I can't remember exactly what the coffee cost - but it was average. It is a little steep in price - but that is mall food for ya .... kind of expensive.

I decided to eat my gooey cinnamon bun there. There are some tables and chairs. I find the mall annoying - lots of people walking around, the loud din from Stupid Store carries out into the mall. What can I say - it is a one star ambiance. If the van wasn't parked far away - I would have carried it to the van and eaten it there and the interior of our van is better ambiance - despite the the detritus of a family of four with two preschool aged kids.

But ohhhh boy - what a yummy, decadent cinnamon bun!!!! I would have enjoyed it anywhere.
