I have passed this place several times on my way to New Lakeview Restaurant and finally decided to try it the other day...I should have kept on driving.

I had the 2 piece snack (one drumstick and thigh) and fries for $2.99. For $3 that is a pretty good deal, and I didn't really have high expectations. The the portion was pretty tiny for that price. The fries seemed to be deep fried too long and was nearly translucent due to the oil...very weird. The chicken, which was supposed to be spicy was not. It didn't have a very good flavour and the skin was rubbery. The meat tasted kinda old and stale. It almost seemed like it was chicken from the night before that they quickly just dropped in the deep fryer to warm it up before serving.

The lady behind the counter was nice enough. This place is a dive, with some bench seating and tables and is pretty much a take out place.

This is the first and last time I will every get chicken from there. Like the title suggests...should have known better.

I have driven by this place a few times and decided to try it. The woman serving me was very pleasant. I ordered some take out hot wings. The lady there told me it will take baout 15 minutes since they make everything fresh. It felt like i was in for a treat. So i took em home and tried some. The wings were way too salty and tasted stale. They were also quite rubbery. I thought the regular chicken would be better which i havn't tried yet. BUt after that experience, i think i will just keep on going. I noticed someone else had the same comment about the chicken, i wonder if they change their oil regularly.
