Took the 15 minute drive out Canada Way tonight as I was told I had to try the sweet and sour pork at this little hole-in-the wall in Burnaby. The food was amazing - some a little adventurous for my palate but they have all of the standards as well. The place is new and there are still a few kinks to work out but the service was friendly and the staff were working their butts off. The food prices are great (dinner for 6 for under $70) and you can get a beer for $2.50 (that's right) Lots of stuff for kids - smoothies and slushies in all sorts of fruit flavors. Totally worth the little drive along Canada Way!!
I went to this restaurant and I try their Gong Bow Chicken and the Spicy Pork with Sliced Bamboo and Black Mushroom, those are so good and place now looks so good and clean, I went to the old restaurant before, the place was bad before, but now everything different and it's much more nicer, make me want to stay there more time to eat.And also with beer $2.50, I think it's good place to watch the games and drink some cheap beer....I am definely going back there next time!!!
The restaraunt has chenged the owner. It was bamboo house. They are offering spicy and doing some of the old menu. I like their vegi fried rice. There are some house special dishes.
I tried HS chill calamari, All in one spicy pot which includes beef, prawn, lotus root and fresh vegi.
There are all so some szechuan dishes my friends like them so much.
