Good till the last 1/4 of the drink

Went here to order some bubble tea to go and use a coupon that stated buy one get another free from the Entertainment book. Apparentlty there was a typo and you have to ordered a "Black Bubble Tea" and get any other bubble tea free. Yet the prices are all the same and they insisted that it has to be Black Bubble Tea. and unfortunately I was wanting to try the Mocha bubble tea. We ended ordering the Taro and the Honey Milk Black Tea which tasted good but the Taro was so much better. When we were near the last 1/4 of the Taro I noticed that it started to taste weird and gritty. I figure that they did not mixed it enough to have the same consistency throughout the drink. Overall I enjoyed my bubble tea but would venture to other Big Orange to get my bubble tea fix.

A lot of the people I know complain about this place or judge it before they try because it is located in the mall and the ambiance isn't that great.
However, I find the bubble tea here to be just as good or maybe better than the super popular ones around the city.
However, careful of the milkly slushes/smoothies. The reason they taste so good is because they add a load of ice cream to it, which some bbt places don't do. So watch that waistline!
The service is okay. The manager is nice but he's a little creepy because he smiles so much. The girls are nice too but be sure they get your order right...there were many instances when I asked for no pearls and they still gave it to me.
There's no where to sit besides the stools at the counter, you're basically there to buy a drink to go.
Anyway, try it out. They also have stamp cards where if you buy 10 you get a free drink

mango bubble tea not so good...

iv ordered mango bubble tea from them a few times the first time it tasted like some of the mango's seed's hair was blended in with my drink e.g leaving lumpy not so great tasts in my mouth, and their drinks tend to be warm. The second time i purchased a mango drink from them not only was the lady serving me rude, but the mango drink had a old mango color instead of the "fresh" mango color, and it tasted even worse once u sipped it u couldnt tast the liquid it had a bumpy texture i would asume because the mango's seed must of been blended into the drink some how, and to top it off the pearls were warm once again. i went back to complain and i asked for my money back i had only taken 2 small sips and the lady said she can not give me my money back and that i had to order another drink. i would not recomened this place to anyone enless they are buying powder drinks not the "fresh fruit"

Acceptable Drinks, Reasonable Price

Food: Big Orange hasn't disappointed me in my Coconut Bubble Milk Teas, nor my Watermelon Slush w/o Pearls. The price for it is reasonable for a Bubble Tea place. Quality of bubble teas/beverages is lower than some Bubble Tea places. Pretty decent actually, one of the better Bubble Tea/Juice places I have been to.
Coconut Bubble Milk Tea: Great taste, pearls are chewy. Tastes great.
Watermelon Slush w/o Pearls: Never given too little fruit portions, sweet, fruit's fresh.

Service: Apparently Big Orange likes to hire teenage girls. Haha. Fluent English, most of them well-educated. Kind.

Value: Reasonable enough for a Bubble Tea/Juice place, could be expensive if bought a lot of times, would like to be a very-close customer if it weren't that price is so high.

Ambiance: Not, very, pleasing. Could be a bit messy on the counter, napkins are nowhere to be found. Sometimes straws are at low amount and they didn't bother to refill it at a certain point. Chairs are misplaced probably due to customers, dirty chairs.

I would recommend it if I feel rich that day and have a lot of money in hand. But, I'd only give it a fair try about once a month or so.

My niece and I order fresh mango bubble tea and it was not good. It was all watery. We couldn't taste the mango. My nephew order the ice cream mango bubble tea and it was not good either. The bubble tea were not cold, it was kind of warm so made the drink worse. The booth in the Metropolis mall look nice and trendy but the drinks were bad.

Great price for fresh fruit bubble tea!

Whenever i'm in Metrotown, i always come for my bubble tea fix. I prefer this place over the other bubble tea shops because the price they offer for drinks made with fresh fruits is as cheap as it gets! For under $4, I can get fresh papaya milk with pearls, which is very reasonable compared to other places that charge me at least $5 for the same thing. If you prefer fresh fruit bubble tea then this is definitely the place to go! The pearls are also pretty sweet and chewy, but i find that if you order slushies, the pearls tend to harden easily,

Serve mostly fresh fruit or powdered bubble tea. Have smoothies, ice creams and sundaes as well. Not too sweet like other bubble tea places but tastes pretty good. Good price too BUT charges for debit use (25 cents), for extra cup, and if your order is mistaken (even if its not your fault). Looks clean but it really isnt. Employees should tie up their hair. Service is sometimes slow when its busy and only one person working. Not super friendly more like what do u want, and heres your drink. For good taste yes other than that no.

Cheap and Good at the Same Time.

While shopping in Metrotown, decided to go to Big Orange to get myself a Bubble Tea. I got myself Taro Bubble Tea, and I can tell you I loved it! There were a ton of pearls and they were big too! I love Big Orange compared to Little Tea House since at Little Tea House, it costs about $4 for a small one. At Big Orange, it's $2.50 for one much bigger than the one at Little Tea House. Exactly why I gave it a 5 Star.

I would recommend Big Orange to all my friends due to it's price and it's taste. It's taste isn't as good as Little Tea House but after purchasing at Big Orange for a long time, you'll get used to the taste and the size of that bubble tea.
