A Taiwanese dessert shop in the Crystal Square Mall
I went with some friends to sample the desserts at this place, based on the previous positive experiences of two members of our group. The restaurant is small and functional, and had a peculiar aroma I could not define. Other than that it seemed alright, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Mrs. C had a sweet tofu and red bean soup and one couple in the group shared a sweet tofu and yam soup. I stuck to a strawberry milk tea with coconut jelly. The dessert items were reported to be tasty, but my milk tea was bitter and not very good. I might try some of the other desserts if I ever return.
This is a place to be if you want home-made tofu pudding and abit of snacks. They have good green milk tea, the taro is ok and the regular milk tea is ok. As for food, they have good dried noodles and yummy spicy wonton.
Ordered the wontons, a bean soup-thing, cold noodles, and corn. I had the wontons, my mom had the bean soup, my sister had the noodles, and we all shared the corn. Wontons were yummy, the pork inside was awesome.
My mom said the bean soup was lovely. My sister was not a fan of the noodles. Corn was delicious. Too bad you can only order the corn in summer...
Service was good. Seems to be ran by nice ladies, we got our food quickly, and were seated almost immediately.
Prices were reasonable. Although we did accidentally misread the menu prices, and assumed that it was overpriced, but I payed the extra and the cashier gave us our money back.
Ambiance was great.
Am I coming back? For summer, yes.
