Abdul's offers a variety of falafels and shawarmas that are big on value and taste. Abdul's is mostly a take out place but there are a few utility tables located inside.
I was craving Middle Eastern one night and decided to pick up some quick shawarma, Abdul's was the closest donair to my apartment. Since I wasn't really in the mood for anything fancy, I decided to order a chicken falafel and get it over with. They didn't seem to offer table service during the night so I had to go with takeout. Service was very friendly, I was greeted immediately after I entered the restaurant and I had my order attended within two minutes. The only problem I had was the price, $15 for one chicken falafel? A bit too much for my taste but the food was prepared very well and taste incredible, which is why value gets a 2, not 1.
I went here after hearing from people when it first opened that it was good. I tried the chicken shewarma wrap and it was totally bland! No garlic, no chilies, just chicken and bread. I've been hopping all over the city to find authentic middle eastern wraps and this is one place to avoid - you're better off at a mall food fair. Sorry.
I went here a while back and never really had the urge to go back again. Syrian food isn't spicy, I don't know why this restaurant uses so much spices. When you tell them no spices, the woman didn't seem to get that some people like to taste the meat not the spice. The portions are good, but nothing special. There used to be a really great sharwarma place by joyce station, that guy knew how to make Syrian food!
I work in the neighbourhood and have been going to Abdul's for the last three years and have never had anything but the best. The food is absolutely delicious and the price can't be beat. I usually get the shwarma platter and ask for it extra spicy and Abdul delivers the spice.
I can recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick delicious lunch.
