By far one of my favorite places in the Fraser valley! The food is to die for and not only are the portions huge but also very affordable. Nachos and burgers are always a hit here! The music is great and the cozy atmosphere makes it a place I love to come to with my friends. It's a great weekend hangout! The staff is always friendly and looking to please the guests. Can't say I have ever had a bad experience here! Definitely recommend trying this place out if you haven't already!
They have yet to disappoint me at Lou's grill. Food is always great, steaks cooked to perfection and can't beat the prices. My last visit i had dinner feature steak and crab its availible everyday and it was the best meal i have had in a long time. Amazing patio to wind down after work and will have left overs for lunch always because the portions are HUGE. Love the music selection and how the employee are always smiling. I can tell its a great place to work because they all seem happy to be there. Sunday funday is my favorite !!!!!!because their entire weekly drink specials are all on special. I'm always shocked when I get my bill, drink prices can't be beat, especially with the quality of them with so many garnishes, fresh fruit yum. Best ceasers ever, and a patio that I can smoke on while drinking them. Mouth is watering writing this. Think I'm going to head over there now for a drink and dessert :)
The food at this restaurant is a little on the expensive side but you sure get quality that you pay for!! Every bite tastes amazing, so many great flavors and you can tell that care was taken in preparing each dish. Can be on the spicey side so I'd recommend for first timers to tone down the spice one level and then work your way up. Love the red curry and the crispy wontons mmmmm so so good!!! Highly recommend this restaurant for the food as well as the curteous and attentive service!!!
I actually created this account so that I could comment on this atrocious restaurant. I work on the same street and have told people to eat here (before I tried it). I will never ever tell anyone to eat here again.
My husband and I went to eat here because we wanted to try something new. The restaurant was dead, the booths were filthy, there was only 2 other people there. We ordered a plate with a variety of food (ie: Dry ribs, COLD COLD chicken wings, OLD vegetables and onion rings.) We also ordered Nachos. Those nachos were the most horrifying things I have ever eaten. They had mashed jalepenos on them and burnt cheese. The salsa tasted like sweat.
I have never been one to complain at a restaurant, but on my way out the door I did complain. I told the girl that the food was awful. She just said, "Oh really?"
Do not eat here. Do not. its just a waste of money and a stomach ache later.
I used to hang out here a lot when it first opened and it was great! It has seriously gone downhill since then though.
Way overpriced beer, terrible service, and the atmosphere isn't half of what it used to be. Know this before you go: it isn't an Irish bar. If your looking for terrible pop music and a small army of police roaming the place, then you've come to the right place though.
I will not be coming here again for quite sometime.
Please disregard “I’m the best” review….
It’s a disgruntle ex-employee, that feels slandering my name will help you make an informative dining
Please come in and try us for yourself, we have wonderful staff, a nice ambiance and great food. We have a
romantic lounge, where you can share a nice bottle of wine with your loved one.
Comfy booths for you and your children, so they can enjoy a Pirate Pak.
The place late in the evening is a very unsafe place to be. They may have bouncers but they do not go into the parking lot that the eatery owns. On more than one occasion we have seen and heard fighting in the parking lot. These people were extremely drunk when they left the place. Going in for a drink after a hockey game means you may get set upon and harassed by the drunken customers. The food is over priced. While the serving staff is nice to look at they do let you down by not being interested in making your visit special.
ie. coming over to check on your progress or other normal needs a customer would need.
The service is very poor going through the drive-in window. The staff, mostly young teens who are not trained in service, add to the frustration of getting a meal. The staff has trouble listening to the order being given, this could be the giggling or conversations with other employees while taking orders. Do they care about the customer or do they just treat the workplace as a play place comes to mind. I would not tell other people to go and order food as the burgers or whatever you order is slapped together like the "cook" is in. Hurry and has better things to do than prepare a meal. Thumbs down to ever trains and supervises this employees.
Each time we go to ABC we ask ourselves after why did we do this. The food is generally bland with extra grease (oil) put on food to create taste(ugh). The vegetables always seem to be over cooked or just left sitting in water too long. The service is frustrating as the servers are nice and pleasant but they group in the kitchen and you don't see them for long stretches of time. If you mention about lack of food quality or service you get a non interested response. ABC can keep their ways, because as soon as we have about 6 or 7 new restaurants in town, people will have choice.=:(
I pass by here and have tried the food and coffee on several occasions. Thinking each time that it was likely unusual for someone to get an order incorrect since it is McDonald's and supposed to have uniform service and product, I return, only to be disappointed and surprised.
I have had cold burgers, orders without onions, missing fries and 20 pickles one time, when I asked for extra pickle! It is crazy. I would say out of about 20 times between me and my family members going here, they have had poor food or the wrong order about half the time. Cold food is the worst and when you tell them you want extra they either give you none at all of what you want more of or give you so much, you can't eat it or just forget your special request. It's ridiculous and the teenagers there just laugh and smirk if you say anything. It really needs an adult manager on site to keep the more inexperienced or carefree employees customer focused/ polite and make them do their jobs properly. It is as if it is a joke for them serving the public and getting a reaction. The only thing I will buy there now is coffee when the Tim Horton's line is so long you have to go to McDonalds, instead. I have actually found a better McDonalds at the Sumas Exit if you don't mind going a bit out of your way. At least you get what you expect. The owner is obviously relying on the Whatcom Exit's busy intersection near that highway to get volume, not repeat customers. And let's face it, like me, most people assume when they get bad food or service that it is a one off, but it isn't here. It is standard.
I think the problem at this place is obviously its not properly managed. Other McDonald's have always been good for what they do.
If you like big country breakfasts and home cooked food, you will like this place.
For $20 two people can eat like kings, and the eggs benny shouldn't be missed.
Don't pass up the Country Breakfast either, it's a full plate and then some!
I have been eating breakfast here on a regular basis and it has never been a disappointment.
Lunch is also well worth it, I usually get the chicken strips with fries, and a side of gravy.
You get full and it stays with you. Good place to eat. Good service, and you can read the newspaper with your coffee.
We went for lunch at what we thought was a quaint little restaurant, and were treated to a huge argument between the staff.
Over bites of oily chow mein and greasy almond chicken ( was debating keeping the oil to grease my dirtbike's chain..it was that oily) we had to listen to and SEE the chef screaming at the server in what we believe was cantonese.
It went on for so long that we swore subtitles were going to appear amidst the yelling.
Needless to say, we didn't finish our meal, but we got it to go and fed some crows in the park later.
Will not go back.
Another dismal location(aren't they all?) with dumb slow employees. You have to order each part of your meal very S-L-O-W-L-Y so they can get it. If you say "I'll have an egg salad sandwich and soup combo on white, with vegetable soup and a black coffee please" You get - "and what type of sandwich please?" um egg. "on What kind of bread?" um white owww hurt me. "you want soup or donut combo ?" SOUP , VEGETABLE SOUP! "and what kind of soup please" VEGETABLE FFS!!!!! "and what to drink please?" Coffee, Black coffee I already said that!!!! "cream and sugar?" NO! That's what BLACK COFFEE means "and what size coffee please?" What ever FRICKIN size comes with the COMBO you moron!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH............
Then you get the nastly soup with a slimy texture, a boring sandwich(I think they already dumped the egg because it was SOOOOO bland and horrible) and a cup of acid. All for Like $7.50. Note to self - pack your lunch from home.
I don't go to Vietnamese places much anymore as most were quite dodgy. Had to go here with a group after a meeting. All I can say is "WOW". It was very busy but they found room for all of us, albeit at two separate tables. That was ok.
The kitchen was open, the food was fast, superfresh and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. The pho soup was proclaimed to be better than anywhere in Vancouver. The salad rolls were amazing and the vermicelli bowls were fresh, tasty and VERY filling.
If I am every back that way I will always eat here!
We had my 28th birthday dinner there.... Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent the manager via FACEBOOK.... they blocked me and decided they did not care ........
Good day my name is C$&%$*))(, My husband and I come to your establishment on a regular basis and have loved the food every time...
That was why we chose to have my birthday dinner there on Sat. Nov.17.2012 we had 7:30 reservations for 9 people , when we got there out tablets had not been set up.
We had to wait for them to set up the tables that was not an issue, Our waitress brought us all out water and then we didn't see her again for over ten minutes to offer us drinks.
I was starting to get irritated as I made a big deal about coming there. We had to ask another waitress on more then one occasion to ask her to get our server who was standing at the bar, she didn't seem to care that half our drinks were empty when she came up and took only the gentleman who asked the other waitress to get her for him.
The food was good, I ordered the ravioli it wasn't until I asked that I got the garlic toast that came with the dinner. The meals were decent and we all seemed to enjoy them for the most part.
When it was time to have our food wrapped up , all the vegetables from two different plates where discarded in stead of put to go and we asked where the veggies where? the waitress said I still have them on the plates in the back if you want them?
My self and 2 other of my guests over heard the waitress complaining to her co-worker about the fact she got barely any "fucking" tips in her own words .... she didn't earn any tips my husband however gave her a tip that he never should have.
To top it off on the way out we were stopped and My self "the birthday girl" according to the waitress didn't pay ??? My husband paid my bill and the fact that we all had to come back inside to prove it was utterly embarrassing.
To be accused of stealing? and then have to prove that we didn't because of one persons incompetence is absurd.
We are 9 grown adults who work for a living and do not steal. We were all offended , but myself more so ..... It was my birthday dinner andI insisted we go to the Rendevous and then I was accused of stealing from a resturant that my husband and I have obviously waisted our time and money at on more then one occasion. We wont make that mistake again.
I think as a paying customer I have right to express my disappointment and unfortunately you have lost us as patrons and probably alot of the people we know , as well as friends and family of the other guests that we embarrassed our selves in front of bringing them there.
Thank you for your time .
And so instead of being professionals , I was given yet another slap in the face by this place...... wow major let down..... I would be surprised if it was the waitress who got the message
Our first time here in about ten years. Very nice atmosphere. The tables are huge which is nice because there is room for food without everything getting jumbled up.
Food was very good. Portions are large. Just simple good European cuisine. Nothing pretentious.
Service is not the fastest. However, I think that is part of the experience at this restaurant. Things come to your table in thier own time which gives you a chance to enjoy your companions and the ambiance of the restaurant.
My only suggestion for this restayurant would be that the music is a bit too loud.
We wil be back to the Bavaria restaurant. My wife and I have picked it as our new spot.
Heard a rumour on the street that there was a change of management recently. So rather than going to the Duke of Dublin, we thought we would give Finnegans another go. Great live band, good service and most of all we all felt like valued customers. The hockey lads will now use Finnegans again for our night's out before the Heat Games.
I have been here 2-3 times and was never disppointed. Had their Buffet and food was awesome. every non- vegeterian should try Butter chicken and naan.
Ambience is very sophisticated and the service is also gud. They also have nice beautiful bar.
I am sure that this is the best Indian restaurent in Abbotsford.
Restaurant was very busy. I ordered my meal and stood off to the side and waited, and waited, and waited. Several other people after me ordered and had already picked up their meals. I asked the employee if it were possible that my meal had been missed, and he said 'hey, I'm not the one who makes the orders', and he was extremely rude, defensive and aggressive. I told him that it was the order with the coupon, and included the milkshake. He shoved the order into a bag and put it on the counter and went right onto the next person in line without acknowledging if the order had been completed.
No receipt, no checking the order, no service at all. As a matter of fact, the fellow at the counter ignored me. I asked to see the manager, and another person came out who I thought would take care of the matter. He gave me the name and phone number of the manager who could take care of the issue. I went out to the car and discovered that the fries that I had ordered were not in the bag, so I had to go back into the restaurant and stand in line again. By that time, I had a meal that was completely cold.
When I got home (we live less than 5 mins away from the restaurant, but was there for 55 minutes) and dialed the number that was scribbled on the piece of paper. I asked if he was the manager, and he said that he was. I then went on to tell him that, in my opinion, he had an employee that was probably costing him allot of money by giving very poor service. His words were 'I'll take that under advisement', and was about to let me hang up. I thought something was very strange because he did not say 'I'm very sorry, I will offer you a free meal' , or something to offer some kind of service, and I told him that, he was about to let me hang up without taking either my name, phone number or contact information.
He then told me that I had phoned him at his home phone, and to phone him at the store tomorrow. First, why would anyone give out any managers home phone number. And why didn't the manager offer to immediately take my contact information. Why wasn't the manager at the store where he could have dealt with the issue before I had to make a phone call, and why was this issue allowed to spiral out of control because of something that could have been handled by the employee double checking the order, handling it with professionalism and courtesy. Instead, not only was there one mistake, but, I'm sure that McDonalds protocol certainly would not permit an employee giving out a managers own home phone number. Please keep in mind, that, when the employee gave me the managers home phone number, his address could be cross referenced, and his personal address could have easily been acquired. That is personal information that should NEVER be given out to anyone under any circumstances, and should be a matter of security.
So, whats stopping someone from publicly putting the managers home phone number in this review? Nothing. That's not very intelligent.
McDonalds has a procedure for everything. So, why did two of their employees blatantly disregard procedure by choosing to present terrible service. Congratulations McDonalds. I don't know about you, but I'm hate'n it. Service was the worse I have ever seen. The ability to fix the issue was beyond terrible, and handing out personal phone numbers of managers was just beyond comprehension. I am wondering if, the person I spoke with that gave me the managers phone number phoned the manager and told him to expect the call? Why would the manager say 'I'll take it under advisement' instead of just offering to fix it right away. These are questions that I would want answered if I owned that McDonalds franchise.
Don't employees know that, with the invention of the internet, a consumer can go online and had the ability to directly affect sales as well as profit for business owners.
Four of us decided to dine here to celebrate a couple of birthdays and we were all extremely satisfied with the food and service. It was a beautiful evening, so we decided to eat on the patio instead of inside. We tried a variety of Appetizers, Mains, and Desserts. My personal favourite was a seared scallop appetizer served with a bacon jam. Delicious! The scallop ceviche that they were offering as the nightly special was also really well done. Even the bread they served before the meal was flavourful, coming with hummus instead of butter. I will definitely be coming back!
