Had to seat my self despite the "please wait to be seated" sign. Had to get my own menus. Had to go to the bar to order my drinks which took forever to pour. Had to go back to the bar to order my food. Had to go to the bar again for another drink. All the while one server was working and the other was in the back room with the door open texting the whole time. Food was alright. Tomato soup was extremely bad. Liked the fries. Seemed like Vancouver prices for not up to par food. Not saying Vancouver food is any better, but the real estate is worth more so it's reflected in the price of goods. I will never come back.
I recently went to Lous Grill, I can honestly say it was the best meal I have had in a long time. I ordered the Blackened Cajun Chicken sandwich with fries; I’m a burger kind of girl so I know a good when I have one. This one was top notch; the chicken was so tender on a toasted garlic baguette. Wow. A must have. Obviously got to have a yummy beverage to go with it. I chose from the dozens of martinis they had. I went with the Pink Lemon Drop, delicious. On top of the amazing food and drinks was a unique atmosphere, very upbeat and fun with a comfortable seating arrangement. Did I mention the heated patio? Doesn’t matter if your out or inside I guarantee you’ll be satisfied either way. To top off the experience there was an outstanding staff of gorgeous ladies giving the best service. I encourage everyone try it out sometime, you wont be disappointed.
My last expirience at Lou's was actually only my third time being there. My sister, cousin and I had came for some appetizers and drinks. We entered through the patio doors and were greeted with smiles from the girls who were working. In about 3 minutes we were sat, and right away a gal came up to ask us if we were intrested in drinks. We were curious about popular drinks and right away she gave us about 8 different ideas. We all went with the white sangria which was awesome. We then ordered a plate of nachos to share, these only took about 15 minutes, but she came to the table twice to make sure we were comfortable with our drinks. The food was great as always, and the big portions are a bonus because i always have some for later. The girls made us feel welcome and comfortable, the fun music made it a great environment and wasn't too loud that we couldn't hear eachother talking. I would highly suggest going down to Lou's to anyone, for dinner, appetizers or even just a few drinks!
For those of you who don't believe in love at first sight, you have clearly not tried Lous Caramel Apple Martini... Made with Finladia, sour apple liqueur, Butter Ripple Schnapps, with a caramel covered apple slice on the side, seriously to die for. If that martini was a boy it'd be a heartbreaker. The menu was excellent, I was very excited to find lots of seafood options, as I'm a pescetarian and usually find my choices limited. The Cajun Seafood Fettuccini was just as great as the service, amazing. The food for the table came relatively quickly after we ordered, with the portions being more than generous. I had more than enough left to take home for lunch the next day! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the girls were very attentive, I didn't have to ask for a drink refill once, and the bartender was very quick with our orders even though it was ridiculously busy for a Wednesday! The music was present but not too overwhelming, the lights inside the restaurant were beautiful, all in all it is a very nice restaurant that I will definitely be going to again! I would recommend Lous to people of any age, from going out for drinks to having a nice family dinner! Definitely a must if you are in the Abbotsford area!
My experience at Lou’s Grill was absolutely lovely. My family and I went in for an early lunch on a Sunday, and even though it was extremely busy, the servers were on top of their game and brought us our food very quickly. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were huge! 5 stars!
Every time I come to Lou's Grill I am always so pleased! During my last visit, it was a busy and happening Saturday afternoon, we we're warmly greeted and sat on the patio as we requested. As a smoker, I totally love the heated patio! Our server was friendly and had our drink orders taking right away. My Bailey's and coffee was super hot and delicious (and on special!!) The menu is huge and has so many options. I went with my favorite, chicken strips, and was so delighted with my food! I love the all over vibe of the restaurant. It will continue to be my all time favorite!!
My first time at Lou's was great. We were welcomed when we walked in the door and seated with a drink within minutes. Our server was very personable and talkative. She suggested I try the drink special, a margarita, which was delicious! The food came reasonably fast after we ordered and I had enough to bring home for lunch. I ordered the Chicken Pita and was definitely satisfied with the freshness of my meal! Both my boyfriend and I loved the red candles spread throughout the bar and restaurant area, it gave a relaxing glow to the darker room. The music being played was a bit loud where we were sitting but the song choice was enjoyable. I will definitely be back!
My experience at Lou's grill was very positive. We were seated right away and we were immediately given our drinks. Our waitress was on point the whole meal making sure our drinks were never empty and she took notice right away when we were ready to order. She was sure to do the "two bite" check to make sure we were enjoying our meal which I always appreciate. I was really happy about the portion sizes too, when I was done I had enough left for my lunch the next day! Overall it was an excellent meal. The environment of the grill was nice and relaxed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. It is definitely a great place to go!
The cakes are Afterthoughts are very yummy. My favourite to get from here whenever I go is the cheesecake. But besides that, they also serve quiches, muffins, among other delights. It would be a nice place to hang out and have coffee, very inviting and enticing. However, the prices are a bit too high. Portions could be a bit smaller as well.
Affordable and yummy Chinese food, I am surprised this place has no other reviews. I usually order take-out from them, as their service is always prompt and fast and haven't had any "accidents" or mix ups with them unlike in other places. Bamboo has an ample variety of food, from appies, noodles, fried rice, pork, chicken to seafood. Literally I believe they invested in the belief that there is something for everyone. In my opinion, the chow mein, egg rolls, and lettuce wraps are the best. The servers are nice and the place is clean.
Ricardo's pizza is the only place I go to for pizza in Abbotsford. I have tried this one and over the years had a taste of many others but I got to say this one still beats the rest by a lot. The ingredients and toppings make the pizza. The fact that it is made all fresh also makes it so much better. Can't do without a bacon cheese burger or Perogie. Prices are not low but I can compromise for the quality.
It's been a while since I visited Paliotti's, but I recently came back here for dinner and it was just as good as last. It is probably one of the best Italian places here, if not the best. Love the atmosphere here. Being from Vancouver, my standards for food are a little higher than usual, but this one never fails to disappoint. You can make your own pasta but the number of options can be a overwhelming, so I usually opt for Tortellini Rossi or a Gnocchi. The pizzas are different from anywhere else and the Focaccia is always good (of course). Food is fresh and made in-house. Prices are fair. The service could use a little improvement, as it can be a little slow though. Minus one star for that!
I absolutely love this restaurant! I'm from Mission but I still come here every year for my birthday along with many other times and not once have I been disappointed. For my last birthday our table included about 20 people and for such a big party the service was excellent! The server was constantly asking us if we needed more drinks whenever they were empty or recommending drinks when we didn't know what ones to order(I mean have you seen Lou's drink menu?!) I explained to her a drink that I had there before that I loved and she knew exactly which one I was talking about(Deep Blue Martini). All of our food came out at once and tasted delicious(not to mention they are huge portions and I never leave without leftovers.) At night it is a lot similar to a bar with the dim lighting and music so it was okay that we were a bit loud. I have also brought my family here as well and it is now one of their favourite restaurants too. My parents are both vegetarian so it is hard for them to find a restaurant with a lot of options. So whether your going for a night out with your friends or a nice dinner with your family, I definitely recommend Lou's Grill. Even if you live in Mission I promise it's worth the extra 15 minute drive!
My last visit at Lou's bar and grill was a very good experience, I attended on a Friday night and it was quite busy, we were assisted in any needs we may have had and didn't wait too long for a table, we were seated outside and were always checked up on and made sure our drinks were refilled. The inside was quite modern looking and a all in all welcoming environment. I went with a friend and we shared the Grilled chicken pesto fettuccine as it is a larger portion of food. It was delicious, we we're very satisfied with the pasta and the service from all of the employees working that night.
This is the highest review I've ever given. The food is spectacular - perfect and done right ever time. Go there more than twice and order the same thing and they remember you and your order and ask if you'd like a menu or the "usual". This place is always busy at lunch on weekdays and for good reason. I dunno - LOVE asian foods but only if they're done right and this is PERFECT. Try it out next time you're drving by the MT. Lehman exit and don' t know what to have for lunch and then thank me:)
Lou's grill is awesome! The staff is always so nice, the girls are great. Every time I've been there it's always really busy and despite it being busy the girls are always able to maintain their tables, always checked up on us. Also the food is always really good never had anything to complain about.
My experience at Lou's was awesome!! On this particular visit I ordered the Med Platter to "share" with a couple of friends. When it arrived my polite thought of sharing went out the window. Was a huge plate full of great!! Ate the whole thing up!! Great selection including prawns, calamari, pita, homous, tzatziki, olives and spanakopita!!! Mouth waters... My friends had a HUGE bacon cheddar burger with ceaser salad and another had a daily special which was steak with lobster Mac and cheese!! OMG!!! To die for! I had a Lou's Lemonade and some yummy sangria, delish way to end a hectic week! The service was great, never an empty glass! Even if it is not your server there is always another team member to make sure you are taken care of! They have a great atmosphere, lots of black, comfy chairs, people laughing, skateboard videos on the tv's and some cool reggae playing in the background! Bonus points for the heated patio! Will be back sooner than later!!
It has always been a great experience coming to Lou's Grill the front of house are always nice and accommodating. The waitresses are always good answering my questions and letting us know the specials and we get served drinks immediately. I couldn't decide between two dishes and my server recommended that I have the lobster mac and cheese it was delicious. I really love Bloody Mary's and I especially love their cocktail Ketel One Mary with the blue cheese stuffed olives! The last time I sat outside and I never felt ignored and it was kind of cold, but they had outdoor heaters making it comfortable to be outside. It is a very friendly and welcoming environment and I continuously enjoy coming back.
My experience at Lou's Bar and Grill has always been a pleasant one. I have been to this restaurant plenty of times, Even for my own 19th birthday where even part of the staff joined in on the singing. The staff is always smiling and very welcoming, its nice to be welcomed into such a happy environment even with how busy it gets. The food is always amazing and at the perfect temperature, Not to hot. I have had several alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and honestly I can't complain. I love love love the peach margaritas.
I went to have lunch at Yummy Sushi Gallery in Abbotsford in the beginning of August, 2014. I couldn’t help but notice what was going on at a table near mine.
A woman who, for the purpose of this article I will give the name Susan, and who I assumed to be her teen-aged daughter were also ordering lunch. After ordering, Susan called the waitress back to confirm their order. The waitress repeated it, and Susan and her daughter nodded in agreement. The waitress then left their table to inform the cook. They soon received their “on the house” selection. Susan was very polite and smiled at the waitress as she said “Thank you!”
Soon after that, the daughter received her lunch order. She began to eat. Several minutes later, Susan’s meal arrived. Susan looked puzzled, and called the waitress over. She told the waitress, kindly, that her meal was not what she had ordered. The waitress said nothing, but began to stare at Susan with narrowed eyes. Susan said again, “I am sorry, but this is not what I ordered. I ordered a number 133.” The waitress continued to stare at Susan with narrow eyes. Finally Susan said, “Why are you staring at me like that?”
The waitress responded, “This is what you ordered! I asked you twice!” More staring.
The daughter had, by this time, nearly finished her food. Susan said evenly, “Okay. I will pay for my daughter’s meal, but not for mine.” She continued to speak politely, even though she was perturbed at this point. The waitress left to speak to a woman behind the counter. She returned to Susan and said, “Okay, you can pay for the one meal, but you can never come back to this restaurant.”
Susan seemed to freeze for a moment, then walked over to the woman behind the counter. Loud words were exchanged. I heard “Are you kidding me?” come from Susan a few times. About six people, cooks perhaps, came from the back of the restaurant to find out what the commotion was about.
Susan finally grabbed her things from her table and left. The waitress ran after her shouting, “Ma’am, you still have to pay your bill!” Through the window, I saw Susan and her daughter take off in her car. The waitress came back inside, the bill unpaid.
I found the waitress to be very impolite to Susan. I am an owner in the restaurant business and in this case I have to side with Susan. Personally, I would have given a complimentary meal to Susan and her daughter at the very least. I also would have offered a discount certificate to return at another time.
I would value the food 3/10, the service 2/10, and people skills 0/10.
Needless to say, I will never return to Yummy Sushi.
