Market fresh, healthy noodle dishes cooked in quickly and served in Asian take out boxes.
I went to the Abbotsford Wok Box a few weeks ago, and I was happy that they had a lot of vegetarian/vegan options. I have been a dedicated vegetarian for 15 years, and I told the girl serving me very specifically NO MEAT whatsoever. When I got my meal I started eating and I noticed these weird chunks in my bowl! I thought maybe it was tofu or something but I examined it closer and showed my friend. He said it was CHICKEN. I haven't eaten any meat for 15 years, and I unknowingly ate chicken! I had to go to the bathroom and throw up, I was so disgusted!!! I told the girl what happened and she blamed the guy who made the food (unprofessional if you ask me) and they made me a new dish (I wasn't really hungry anymore) and gave me a coupon to use later (whoo hoo). I don't think I will be coming back to use the coupon!
After trying the Maple Ridge store, I picked up some takeout from the Abbotsford store. Is this company on fire? I think both of these stores just opened this month. I can see why.
Today I had the Singapore cashew noodle box, and 2 kids meals to take home. I got out for under 20 bucks and was full. The kids loved their meals, one was crispy chicken (it's like the overly favourite nuggets, but with actual chicken) and a teriyaki noodle bowl.
Honestly, as a parent that loves food, I don't expect my kids to crave french cheeses, fine wines and unique flavours like I do, but I do expect them to eat well and not just junk and fast food. I was stoked when I saw how much they enjoyed their meal, and partly because it was only 4 bucks per kid. Being successful at feeding them healthy was the bonus.
The staff here were super friendly and genuine, just like the Maple Ridge store, and I always get behind a place when it looks like the staff really enjoy their jobs and are stoked to work there.
Keep up the good work, i'm a hungry guy without the budget to support it, and this place is my new favourite.
