Wings Tap & Grill is more than just a NY style wing place with a wide combination of wings and sauces. We are also a Sports bar, complete with a full menu featuring everything from salads to appetizers to burgers and a variety of pasta dishes. All served in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere where people like to hang out with friends, watch their favorite game on one of the many TVs and munch on some great wings.
We came for dinner on Sunday and took advantage of their .39 cent wings. You have to order a mininum of 10 wings of 1 flavour but they have a large selection to choose from. We had the not so hot buffalo wings and the cajun wings. Both were very good. I would not want the wings much hotter than they were. My husband said the the cajun wings were his favorite of the ones that we tried. We also shared a starter Caesar salad - bland, bland, bland. It was so boring - absolutely no flavour to it at all. Yam fries were delicious with chipolte mayonnaise to dip them in. We had the apple crisp for dessert. Seriously not recommended unless you can handle super sweet desserts. I could feel tooth decay starting from the first bite. All you could really taste wass the sugar.
Service was decent. They were very busy but we weren't ignored or neglected.
Ambiance is typical of a sports bar restaurant with numerous big screen tvs showing the latest sports event.
Recommended if you want a reasonable decent meal. Just stay away from the Caesar salad and apple crisp.
I will never set foot in this restaurant again. I was not happy with our wings and we said something and were made to feel like they were doing us a favor in fixing them. Well in fact they did not fix them. The wings said they were wings with sauce on them and I can tell you we had 3 different sauced wings with no flavor because they had barely any sauce on them. I let head office know that my visit was poor and obviously they could care less as they have never got back to me. So when a restaurant does not care about their customers visit I will never set foot back into that restaurant and will let anyone else know about my terrible experience so they don't go and have a bad experience themselves.
Went here on a sunday when they had the wings on sale. We ended up with three different kinds, a dozen each. The wings were really good. Not dry and full of flavour. We has the salt and pepper, Louisiana sweet (slighty spicy) and the greek. All were delicious. We also tried one of the jerk and it was good too. ($1 just to try one flavour) We also ordered the "texas fries.' Wasn't impressed. Basically some frozen fries with lots of spice, jalpenos and toppings with a side of bbq sauce to dip them in. They weren't bad tasting, in fact pretty good but something you can easily make at home and certainly not worth the nearly $8 price.
They were fairly busy, lots of families. We were two adults with a child. Our server was really friendly, attentive and answered our questions. We all had pops to drink, which are bottomless. In total our bill came to about $37, without tip. We all left stuffed and satisfied. A good expierence and we will be returning.
