the food used to be fantastic! then they changed their kitchen staff and the food is still good, but nowhere near what it used to be. good place to go for dinner and drinks if you want to stay local. fairly dark, nice ambiance, outdoor patio is nice because you can smoke (unless they've changed it, haven't been in about a year). most meals are 15-25$ and worth the money.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I'm from Mission but I still come here every year for my birthday along with many other times and not once have I been disappointed. For my last birthday our table included about 20 people and for such a big party the service was excellent! The server was constantly asking us if we needed more drinks whenever they were empty or recommending drinks when we didn't know what ones to order(I mean have you seen Lou's drink menu?!) I explained to her a drink that I had there before that I loved and she knew exactly which one I was talking about(Deep Blue Martini). All of our food came out at once and tasted delicious(not to mention they are huge portions and I never leave without leftovers.) At night it is a lot similar to a bar with the dim lighting and music so it was okay that we were a bit loud. I have also brought my family here as well and it is now one of their favourite restaurants too. My parents are both vegetarian so it is hard for them to find a restaurant with a lot of options. So whether your going for a night out with your friends or a nice dinner with your family, I definitely recommend Lou's Grill. Even if you live in Mission I promise it's worth the extra 15 minute drive!

My last visit at Lou's bar and grill was a very good experience, I attended on a Friday night and it was quite busy, we were assisted in any needs we may have had and didn't wait too long for a table, we were seated outside and were always checked up on and made sure our drinks were refilled. The inside was quite modern looking and a all in all welcoming environment. I went with a friend and we shared the Grilled chicken pesto fettuccine as it is a larger portion of food. It was delicious, we we're very satisfied with the pasta and the service from all of the employees working that night.

It has always been a great experience coming to Lou's Grill the front of house are always nice and accommodating. The waitresses are always good answering my questions and letting us know the specials and we get served drinks immediately. I couldn't decide between two dishes and my server recommended that I have the lobster mac and cheese it was delicious. I really love Bloody Mary's and I especially love their cocktail Ketel One Mary with the blue cheese stuffed olives! The last time I sat outside and I never felt ignored and it was kind of cold, but they had outdoor heaters making it comfortable to be outside. It is a very friendly and welcoming environment and I continuously enjoy coming back.

I went to Lou's Grill with a friend for dinner on a Friday night, we were greeted right away and seated inside as the patio was full. It was very busy as usual but our server brought us drinks right away and was very pleasant. I had a nice white wine that she recommended while my friend had a beer. We ordered burgers, mine was the veggie burger and his was chicken, both were delicious !! I really liked the décor of the restaurant, and the lighting was perfect. Overall it was good food, drinks and service, definitely recommend it :)

Our tummies grumbling with hunger on this beautiful summer day, my friend and I decided we’d go to Lou’s Grill for dinner.

When we arrived it was busy, no surprise, on a sunny day around dinner time we didn’t expect it not to be. We walked through the back door to quickly be greeted by the hostess. We asked if we could sit outside and she told us she’d quickly clean the table off for us and to wait in the front and so we obligied. They were quick and we were sitting at our table in less than 5 minutes. We were quite dehydrated so we only ordered water with lemon to quench our thirst. By the time our server had returned with our water we had already decided what we wanted to eat, not that she took long it’s just we had already known what we wanted before we even sat down.
While we waited we chatted, listened to the music, took in our surroundings. The patio was lively with groups of customers and busy servers. We didn’t wait long until our food arrived. Usually when food arrives quickly on a busy day I feel a little skeptical that it was cooked properly or that it would look messy. But to my surprise the food looked delicious. I ordered the cajun chicken sandwich with no guacamole and added on pineapple, with a side of spuds. No mistakes in my food, everything was mouth-watering and delicious. The only problem I had was the sandwich was huge for my tiny mouth! I could barely take a proper bite – but I can’t complain, you really are getting what you’re paying for, which is great when some restaurants can rip you off with prices.
The only thing was the waitress didn’t do the two-bite rule. It took a while for the server to return to ask us if everything was alright with our food. Everytime I placed my glass to the side for water a waitress came by to refill it, which was perfect.
I would recommend maybe Lou’s Grill was to get wet wipes for after the customers are done with something like their sandwiches or burgers, as they do get messy when you use yours hands and almost leave a greasy feel you can’t just wipe away with a napkin.
When we were finished we got our leftovers packed up, asked for our bill, paid, and left Lou’s with a, “See you soon!”

The last time I visited Lou’s Bar and Grill was the weekend of this year’s past St Patty’s Day. I remember the staff all acting so lively and kind, even at midnight when I came in for a bite and a drink. I specifically recall ordering a pint of Stella Artois and was so thrilled to see it coloured green for the festivities! The best dish there I eat every time is the Jack Daniels BBQ bacon burger, and I don’t enjoy burgers anywhere else now that I’ve tried Lou’s. The place is friendly, comforting and the staff is always so helpful!

I had a wonderful first time experience at Lou's. The atmosphere was up beat and the greeting hostess was very welcoming and pleasant. Our server was polite and personable and quick to take our drink orders. She accidentally knocked over my drink when she returned but she had the mess cleaned up in seconds and a replaced drink in my hand immediately. We ordered the Steak Sandwich and the Blackened Cajun Chicken Sandwich, both of which were absolutely delicious. Both meals came out very quickly and were delivered with a smile. Our server ensured that our meals met our expectations and that our drinks were always full. Great first experience at Lou's Grill with every intent on returning in the near future.

Last night my mother, a friend of mine, and I went to Lou's Bar and Grill for dinner. I am happy to say we had an awesome experience filled with great food and awesome staff. Our server was friendly, polite and very helpful. It was Wednesday night so my mother and I decided to order Martini's however my mother has never actually tried a Martini. Upon receiving her drink my mother realized that she just really didn't like her drink. When we informed our waitress of our dilemma she was quick to help us find a solution my mother would enjoy. As it turns out my mothers just didn't enjoy the juice to alcohol ratio so the waitress had the bartender add more juice to the drink and my mother loved it. After we had been seated in our area for a couple minutes we realized that our table was right next to a door to the patio and because the waitress were constantly going in and out, it was a rather breezy spot. The next time our waitress walked by we asked her to find us a new spot and we were pleased at how helpful she was in finding a new spot that we were more comfortable in. She was great and very accommodating regarding our request. After we had our drinks and seating figured out, we ordered our food and we were very impressed on the quality of the food delivered. Everything tasted fresh and absolutely delicious. My mother, friend and I had an amazing evening at Lou's Bar and Grill thanks to the amazing staff and awesome food, we will definitely be back!

We went on a thursday night while we were in town for a visit, and were seated quite quickly. The place had a classy but had a comfortable feel that you could go there after work with some friends or get dolled up for a night out with the girls. It was easy to see why this place is so popular.
The food was delicious, I had the cajun chicken fettuccini carbonara. the mix of vegetables and cream sauce was fantastic. My boyfriend had the Jack Daniels bbq burger with fries and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The food came out in good time and was hot and didn't seem like it was sitting waiting long. The food in my opinion was the best part of our experience.
The service was good but she wasn't exceptional. She was friendly, and had gotten us everything we asked for (including the crazy amounts of water we requested). The only part of our service that I would have liked to see different was the amount we were checked on. I like when the waitress is there shortly after your food arrives to make sure everything is correct and then a few more times even if the table is not drinking alcoholic beverages (as we weren't drinking that evening).
As an overall, I would recommend going to Lou's and checking it out for yourself, as the food was delicious and the girls seem friendly.

I do not get out much but when I do I choose to eat at Lou's Grill. On a busy friday night the service is still at it's best. I had to wait only 5 minutes for a table for 16 people to open. The servers were fast and very helpful with pulling tables together setting everything up etc. The food was amazing I usually stick to salads or fries when i go out but instead I got pasta. It was probably the best pasta I had in a long time. I just had a pop to drink and the servers were wonderful making sure it was always topped up. My friends and I sat on the porch and enjoyed wonderful dinner and drinks. It was a perfect way to celebrate my friends 20th birthday. I would recommend eating at Lou's to anyone and everyone. I have never had bad service there. It is always exciting and everyone is so friendly! Its a great atmosphere and a great menu with so many choices! I look forward to going back soon! Congrats Managers and staff members on the hard work keeping it an enjoyable place to be!

As a food enthusiast and a woman with a hearty appetite I believe my overall best dining experience has come from Lou's Bar and Grill. Every place is not perfect or ideal and I can say I have had some slow service at Lou's but it will never stop me from coming back. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is superb. If you are looking for a high energy atmosphere and good company I suggest you go to Lou's just being there makes me want to be social and interact with people. The service is usually very prompt and diligent sometimes it can lack a little due to the busy nights. Meals and drinks come fast and even with how busy it can get they still maintain good customer service and look after you.
Going to Lou's I was seated fast and my drink came right away after hearing the specials. I always get the same thing every time because the food just gets better and better the Cajun Grilled Chicken and Prawn Taco Salad is my main dish at Lou's. With fresh lettuce at the bottom the multi-coloured tortilla chips covering the salad and including sour cream and guacamole. The prawns are so savory and spiced to perfection as well as the cut of chicken you receive, it is cooked in the same sauce as the prawns and has the same taste, all the flavours and textures of the food co-exist and work well complimenting each other. It is so much to each but I always make myself finish it because it's that good and packaging it up a to go would just make it soggy and a waste of something so delicious. So I suggest going to Lou's and making something of the night with great people.

Best restaurant experience

Lou's Grill is a great place for a meal out with family, friends, dates and is suitable for all age groups. The restaurant is a well established, cozy, classy and inviting environment. The hostess did a great job at making you feel welcomed. They had an abundant drink selection and a variety of virgin cocktails. I chose to go for the virgin mango margarita which was not a disappointment. For my meal I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The restaurant was pretty busy but the servers did an efficient job at getting your food to you. The sandwich came with a side of fries. I was thinking they'd taste like ordinary fries but they were probably the best fries I've had. The meals were a good size portion and prepared perfectly. The grilled chicken sandwich came on two pieces of a baguette which was a unique way of changing things up. The food was absolutely amazing with comparable prices. My experience was very pleasant and I'd recommend Lou's grill to anyone looking for a casual dinning experience, a more intimate date night, or any special occasion.

The Place to Be

My last visit at Lou's Grill was approximately a month ago and as usual, was a fantastic experience. Lou's Grill has always been my “go to” spot for a relaxing night out with some friends. This is because not only are the meals and drinks fairly priced, but the quality is outstanding. I am yet to eat something at Lou's that I don't love. This particular evening out at Lou's I shared the bacon wrapped scallops (which I order every time because they are absolutely amazing!) and for my main course I tried the short rib ravioli. The ravioli was rich, but not over powering and was added to my “favourites” at Lou's. The raspberry mojito is what I always drink at Lou's and it never gets old, it is fresh and light. Every time I have visited Lou's Grill, I have been promptly greeted by the great staff. The staff have always been diligent, helpful, and leave you feeling like you are truly their guest. Lou's ambiance is why I continue to be a customer. It is comfortable and cozy inside and out! Lou's patio, especially in the summer, is by far the best in town. Another thing I admire at Lou's is that you don't feel pressured, it is a relaxing and fun atmosphere. There is no feeling of being rushed or pressured by tacky sales tactics. The staff are polite and truly seem to love their job, and that is how you know Lou's is a great place to be.

I went to Lou's last night for dinner with a couple of friends and we loved it. As soon as we walked in we loved the ambiance of the place. The décor and atmosphere made us feel like we were in a warm and cozy cottage, a perfect place to go since it's so cold out. The selection of music was great and it was not too loud, so we were able to have a conversation without shouting across the table.
The hostess were friendly and inviting as we came in and our server was great. She was very attentive, sweet and helpful and at the end of the night I still remembered her name, Devon :)
I was warned about the portion size of the food, but I did not believe it until the food came out. It was HUGE! We called it "American size" LOL. The food was good, although, our mussels were just a little bit salty but everything was delicious. I'm a huge burger person and I loved the avocado bacon and cheeseburger. The short rib ravioli is definitely worth a try. We were also very surprised how quick our food came out, no complains there for sure! I enjoyed my cohiba and sangria, but the cohiba had a little too much pulp so I found it difficult to drink with a straw.
One thing I did not like about the place was that the tables were too close to each other. I found myself having to squeeze between the chairs at the table behind us when I went to the washroom. Speaking of that, I did notice the lock on one of the stalls did not lock properly which caused me to almost walk in on someone...ooooops!
Overall I would definitely go there again and bring friends or family. They have a huge menu selection, with many different types of food and beverages. Definitely worth checking out : )

I went to Lou's Grill a few months ago now with my friend.
They were very busy and there was no one to great us at the door, the bartender noticed us walk in and greeted us as well as asked us how many. By then there was a hostess to formally seat us. I loved that even though they were busy the bartender went out of her way to greet us so that we felt welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. We were sat right away, told the specials and not long after that our waitress came over & took our drink order. My friend had a beer on tap, I had the raspberry daiquiri and it was delicious!! We both ordered the french onion soup to start. I had the Cajun Chicken Quesadilla and my friend had the Jalapeno Bacon Cheddar Burger. Both of these were very good and flavorful! Our waitress was on point and didn't miss a beat, as soon as she saw our drinks almost gone she offered more, she was constantly checking on us to make sure the food and everything else was good and that we were well taken care of. Overall I had a great experience, as did my friend. I will definitely be returning! The food, drinks and service were excellent!! If you haven`t yet checked out Lou`s Grill do yourself a favor and check it out, you wont be disappointed!!

I found myself visiting a familiar place today, Lou's Grill. I was
served a friendly server I recognized. She was pretty and outgoing
with my friend and I we shared the Calamari and the Jack Daniels Ribs
appetizers. The food came out steaming hot and the same delicious
taste as our last visit. The calamari was cooked to a perfect
temperature and the ribs were flavourful and falling off the bone. We
both drank Purple Haze martinis, my favorite drink on the menu to
satisfy my sweet tooth, our server was attentive asking to bring us
new ones at exactly the right time. We were seated on the patio around
5:45 so we could smoke. It was steady busy, we both happily noticed
the music which was loud enough to hear but not overwhelming, playing
a mix of our old and new favorite songs. Near the end of our meal the
patio was not busy enough to get a huge amount of attention, which
made it nice and private but not excluded. All in all, I had a great
experience at Lou's Grill; the customer service and food quality were
on point as usual.

My partner and I visited Lou’s Grill for brunch last October. The menu features an large array of food and drink options. Being big breakfast connoisseurs we both opted for the eggs benny. (mine with tomatoes, his the classic). Our breakfast arrived pretty quickly and the waitress saw to it that my coffee cup was always full. The food was hot and we both really enjoyed our meals. The server was fast but very friendly and attentive to our needs. The low lighting and rustic ambiance makes you feel like you are tucked away in your own corner. The replicas of the Group of Seven and Tom Thompson paintings are definitely a great addition, making the place feel truly Canadian.

Quick Work Lunch

I came to Lou's for the First time about 19 years ago, I have very fond memories of my friend and I playing house with our dolls upstairs and all the servers being so awesome and accommodating, even bringing our orders up there when that section was supposed to be closed off! I moved away from the Fraser valley, and only got to make it back to Lou's once or twice a year when visiting my dad. I made my way back to the valley though, and have had a couple (more recent) experiences at Lou's that I can Share! My dad and I were taking a lunch break from work in the summer, on a hot day and decided to go to Lou's, I love the atmosphere there, it feels so homey and inviting, and the color its painted outside if probably one of my favorite colors (on anything, for that matter) we sat on the patio and I was a little surprised to see that smoking was still aloud (pleasantly surprised ) I feel it adds to the atmosphere at Lou's,Its a place that makes everyone feel welcome. Our waitress was extremely sweet and welcoming, I ordered a water, my dad got a ice tea ( too bad we were working) the drinks took a little while to come out, but it was a busy summer day, but When they came the waitress was very attentive the service was perfect from there on out.I ordered the Cesar salad and added Cajun chicken breast to it. my dad ordered the pastrami Reuben sandwich with soup and fries. The portions were Huge, and everything was Delicious, my only ( very minor) complaint wold have been that the chicken was a little over-seasoned/overcooked in my opinion, but it was by no means inedible, and didn't ruin the great Cesar dressing and fresh romaine at all. My dad walked away full and happy with more food left in his take home than most places serve total ( and he is not a small man, nor does he have a small appetite)
