Abbey's go to Bar & Grill.
I do not get out much but when I do I choose to eat at Lou's Grill. On a busy friday night the service is still at it's best. I had to wait only 5 minutes for a table for 16 people to open. The servers were fast and very helpful with pulling tables together setting everything up etc. The food was amazing I usually stick to salads or fries when i go out but instead I got pasta. It was probably the best pasta I had in a long time. I just had a pop to drink and the servers were wonderful making sure it was always topped up. My friends and I sat on the porch and enjoyed wonderful dinner and drinks. It was a perfect way to celebrate my friends 20th birthday. I would recommend eating at Lou's to anyone and everyone. I have never had bad service there. It is always exciting and everyone is so friendly! Its a great atmosphere and a great menu with so many choices! I look forward to going back soon! Congrats Managers and staff members on the hard work keeping it an enjoyable place to be!
As a food enthusiast and a woman with a hearty appetite I believe my overall best dining experience has come from Lou's Bar and Grill. Every place is not perfect or ideal and I can say I have had some slow service at Lou's but it will never stop me from coming back. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is superb. If you are looking for a high energy atmosphere and good company I suggest you go to Lou's just being there makes me want to be social and interact with people. The service is usually very prompt and diligent sometimes it can lack a little due to the busy nights. Meals and drinks come fast and even with how busy it can get they still maintain good customer service and look after you.
Going to Lou's I was seated fast and my drink came right away after hearing the specials. I always get the same thing every time because the food just gets better and better the Cajun Grilled Chicken and Prawn Taco Salad is my main dish at Lou's. With fresh lettuce at the bottom the multi-coloured tortilla chips covering the salad and including sour cream and guacamole. The prawns are so savory and spiced to perfection as well as the cut of chicken you receive, it is cooked in the same sauce as the prawns and has the same taste, all the flavours and textures of the food co-exist and work well complimenting each other. It is so much to each but I always make myself finish it because it's that good and packaging it up a to go would just make it soggy and a waste of something so delicious. So I suggest going to Lou's and making something of the night with great people.
Lou's Grill is a great place for a meal out with family, friends, dates and is suitable for all age groups. The restaurant is a well established, cozy, classy and inviting environment. The hostess did a great job at making you feel welcomed. They had an abundant drink selection and a variety of virgin cocktails. I chose to go for the virgin mango margarita which was not a disappointment. For my meal I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The restaurant was pretty busy but the servers did an efficient job at getting your food to you. The sandwich came with a side of fries. I was thinking they'd taste like ordinary fries but they were probably the best fries I've had. The meals were a good size portion and prepared perfectly. The grilled chicken sandwich came on two pieces of a baguette which was a unique way of changing things up. The food was absolutely amazing with comparable prices. My experience was very pleasant and I'd recommend Lou's grill to anyone looking for a casual dinning experience, a more intimate date night, or any special occasion.
My last visit at Lou's Grill was approximately a month ago and as usual, was a fantastic experience. Lou's Grill has always been my “go to” spot for a relaxing night out with some friends. This is because not only are the meals and drinks fairly priced, but the quality is outstanding. I am yet to eat something at Lou's that I don't love. This particular evening out at Lou's I shared the bacon wrapped scallops (which I order every time because they are absolutely amazing!) and for my main course I tried the short rib ravioli. The ravioli was rich, but not over powering and was added to my “favourites” at Lou's. The raspberry mojito is what I always drink at Lou's and it never gets old, it is fresh and light. Every time I have visited Lou's Grill, I have been promptly greeted by the great staff. The staff have always been diligent, helpful, and leave you feeling like you are truly their guest. Lou's ambiance is why I continue to be a customer. It is comfortable and cozy inside and out! Lou's patio, especially in the summer, is by far the best in town. Another thing I admire at Lou's is that you don't feel pressured, it is a relaxing and fun atmosphere. There is no feeling of being rushed or pressured by tacky sales tactics. The staff are polite and truly seem to love their job, and that is how you know Lou's is a great place to be.
I went to Lou's last night for dinner with a couple of friends and we loved it. As soon as we walked in we loved the ambiance of the place. The décor and atmosphere made us feel like we were in a warm and cozy cottage, a perfect place to go since it's so cold out. The selection of music was great and it was not too loud, so we were able to have a conversation without shouting across the table.
The hostess were friendly and inviting as we came in and our server was great. She was very attentive, sweet and helpful and at the end of the night I still remembered her name, Devon :)
I was warned about the portion size of the food, but I did not believe it until the food came out. It was HUGE! We called it "American size" LOL. The food was good, although, our mussels were just a little bit salty but everything was delicious. I'm a huge burger person and I loved the avocado bacon and cheeseburger. The short rib ravioli is definitely worth a try. We were also very surprised how quick our food came out, no complains there for sure! I enjoyed my cohiba and sangria, but the cohiba had a little too much pulp so I found it difficult to drink with a straw.
One thing I did not like about the place was that the tables were too close to each other. I found myself having to squeeze between the chairs at the table behind us when I went to the washroom. Speaking of that, I did notice the lock on one of the stalls did not lock properly which caused me to almost walk in on someone...ooooops!
Overall I would definitely go there again and bring friends or family. They have a huge menu selection, with many different types of food and beverages. Definitely worth checking out : )
I love Lou's ! It's perfect for any occasion ! Having a catch up lunch with a girlfriend or meeting friends for dinner and drinks on the weekends! Love the atmosphere, music and the shrimp and bacon clubhouse ! Love the sangria and they always have such good drink specials!
I found myself visiting a familiar place today, Lou's Grill. I was
served a friendly server I recognized. She was pretty and outgoing
with my friend and I we shared the Calamari and the Jack Daniels Ribs
appetizers. The food came out steaming hot and the same delicious
taste as our last visit. The calamari was cooked to a perfect
temperature and the ribs were flavourful and falling off the bone. We
both drank Purple Haze martinis, my favorite drink on the menu to
satisfy my sweet tooth, our server was attentive asking to bring us
new ones at exactly the right time. We were seated on the patio around
5:45 so we could smoke. It was steady busy, we both happily noticed
the music which was loud enough to hear but not overwhelming, playing
a mix of our old and new favorite songs. Near the end of our meal the
patio was not busy enough to get a huge amount of attention, which
made it nice and private but not excluded. All in all, I had a great
experience at Lou's Grill; the customer service and food quality were
on point as usual.
My partner and I visited Lou’s Grill for brunch last October. The menu features an large array of food and drink options. Being big breakfast connoisseurs we both opted for the eggs benny. (mine with tomatoes, his the classic). Our breakfast arrived pretty quickly and the waitress saw to it that my coffee cup was always full. The food was hot and we both really enjoyed our meals. The server was fast but very friendly and attentive to our needs. The low lighting and rustic ambiance makes you feel like you are tucked away in your own corner. The replicas of the Group of Seven and Tom Thompson paintings are definitely a great addition, making the place feel truly Canadian.
The ambiance in my opinion is 10/10. I love the cozy, warm, friendly atmosphere. All the decor, the chairs and tables together create, like I said, a comfortable and warm atmosphere. As for the service, my friend and I were greeted instantly upon walking in the door by the front door hostess. She seated us and brought us water in a fast and efficient manner. Shortly after we arrived, we noticed a group of people sitting near us that we know and the hostess/server was happy to move us around so we could sit together. Our server was a little slow to take our order and the food was also a little slow to come out but my friend and I's food was great with no issues. One lady we were sitting with on the other hand, her order was brought to her with ham instead of bacon when she ordered bacon, and she also has a serious allergy to onions and there were onions on her food. The server didn't seem to try to rectify the issue, and when she had to rush out , her bill wasn't discounted and no manager was brought to the table to try to rectify the issue. All of our bills were brought out before we were done eating without asking if we wanted dessert or more coffee/drinks. Other than these issues, the servers and hostesses were all friendly, smiling, made friendly chit-chat with us and made sure our drinks were topped up consistently throughout the visit.
I came to Lou's for the First time about 19 years ago, I have very fond memories of my friend and I playing house with our dolls upstairs and all the servers being so awesome and accommodating, even bringing our orders up there when that section was supposed to be closed off! I moved away from the Fraser valley, and only got to make it back to Lou's once or twice a year when visiting my dad. I made my way back to the valley though, and have had a couple (more recent) experiences at Lou's that I can Share! My dad and I were taking a lunch break from work in the summer, on a hot day and decided to go to Lou's, I love the atmosphere there, it feels so homey and inviting, and the color its painted outside if probably one of my favorite colors (on anything, for that matter) we sat on the patio and I was a little surprised to see that smoking was still aloud (pleasantly surprised ) I feel it adds to the atmosphere at Lou's,Its a place that makes everyone feel welcome. Our waitress was extremely sweet and welcoming, I ordered a water, my dad got a ice tea ( too bad we were working) the drinks took a little while to come out, but it was a busy summer day, but When they came the waitress was very attentive the service was perfect from there on out.I ordered the Cesar salad and added Cajun chicken breast to it. my dad ordered the pastrami Reuben sandwich with soup and fries. The portions were Huge, and everything was Delicious, my only ( very minor) complaint wold have been that the chicken was a little over-seasoned/overcooked in my opinion, but it was by no means inedible, and didn't ruin the great Cesar dressing and fresh romaine at all. My dad walked away full and happy with more food left in his take home than most places serve total ( and he is not a small man, nor does he have a small appetite)
I have just moved to Abbotsford from Vancouver and our real estate agent raved about Lue's Grill for it's comfy atmosphere and tasty dishes. He was right! I went for dinner with my dad and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with a friendly welcoming face to show us to our table; there was a warm glow from the lit candle and the cushioned chairs were especially comfortable. They have great drink specials, the service was prompt and our server was gracious and knowledgeable. I had the Cajun chicken fettuccini carbonara, the dish came out hot, the ingredients were fresh and it tasted heavenly! I highly recommend Lou's Grill, but come hungry because the portions are generous!
My experience at Lou's will always make me come back. The service was real and felt comforting like the servers actually wanted you to be there. It's nice and dimly lit and the music isn't too loud. Unfortunately I sat facing the sun outside, so I was squinting my eyes a little. The server sat us down and asked us for drinks. My drink (long island) was good, just a tad to strong for my liking. The food was fantastic and I was so glad I decided to go there to eat. Definitely recommend the Jack Daniels BBQ Burger! All together it was a good experience and I can't wait to go back.
I believe that Lou's bar and Grill is a very nice place and has amazing ambiance. The mood is just right and the staff are very friendly an upbeat. The drinks are especially good my favorite is the raspberry mojito. It was a great time with friends. Also has a very outdoor patio. All in all it was a great experience.
I enjoyed my night out at Lou's, the burger I had was delicious, and served very well. I really liked the service, our waitress was very humorous and kind, I really appreciated that the waitress did not come around every few seconds like most restaurants, although she was quite personal and pleasant when she did. We were seated on the deck and I love the atmosphere around there, it was a very relaxing place to enjoy dinner with my friends.
My experience at Lou's grill was probably the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The food and drinks were fantastic. I felt like the waitress was doing everything in her power to make our dinner perfect. I love the feeling of going to a restaurant and feeling like as if I'm in a lodge in the woods! 10/10
I visited Lou’s Bar & Grill about a month ago and I can honestly say I had an overall pleasant experience. To eat, I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It was very tasty, however it was much too large to eat as a normal sandwich so I had to eat it with a fork and knife. It would have been just as good without the bread because the chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. On the side were just regular fries that I was barely able to even start eating after having some of my sandwich.
To drink, I had a regular Caesar. It was delicious and came with lots of garnishes which I LOVED. The service was also very efficient. Our waitress was friendly and I at the time, I was considering applying for employment at Lou’s so I asked her how she liked working there and she said she really enjoyed it.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend Lou’s Bar & Grill to my friends and anyone else who’s looking for definitely get what they pay for and more.
I went to Lou’s grill for the first time yesterday and immediately it was a great experience. The host at the front was super friendly and inviting and sat us immediately at our table. We sat on the patio one of the nicer patios I’ve seen, nice and private, and the atmosphere appeared lively. Shortly after the server came over and grabbed our drink order and following our food order, also very friendly. My friend and I ordered the B.L.T.C which was amazing along with the chicken stir fry that I also very much enjoyed. I noticed how much the girls worked together to keep everything moving along smoothly drinks were constantly full which I appreciate not having to ask and servers taking anticipative. From beginning to end it was a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate going back.
I went to Lou's Grill the other night with a friend around 6:30 pm, It was very busy when we arrived, I thought that there was going to be a wait but we were seated quite quickly. Our drink order was taken within the first few minutes of us being seated, I ordered a virgin Caesar since I don't drink it had the perfect amount of spice to it. The food was amazing and very filling, I ordered the New York steak it was cooked perfectly. I enjoy going to Lou's Grill the atmosphere is relaxing and has great music at a decent volume, the staff was very attentive, had great attitudes and were very accommodating. I highly recommend Lou's Grill for everyone.
I went to Lou’s Grill a month ago for drinks and desert with my boyfriend for the first time. We went around 7:30pm to try and avoid the dinner rush but it was still quite busy when we arrived. We got sat quickly even though the restaurant was pretty full and drink orders was taken within 5 minutes of us being sat. I order the Jolly Rancher Martini which was one of the best martinis that I have ever had especially since I normally do not like martinis at all. It took a little bit of a wait to get our drinks once they were ordered but was understandable as it was busy. For desert I ordered the Chocolate Utopia, which was delicious. If you are ever craving chocolate, the chocolate utopia is the perfect choice.
Lou’s Grill is a great place to be. The food and drinks are great as well as the servers are very friendly and unlike some restaurants it has a very relaxing atmosphere. I really enjoyed not having to yell at the person sitting across from me while having a conversation as the music was at a nice volume and the tables were nicely spaced out that you did not hear word to word of other people’s conversations. With the great drinks, food and atmosphere, I recommend this place to everyone!
Several months ago my boyfriend and I dinned at Lou’s Bar & Grill and had a great experience. All the service provided was excellent; from the warm greetings of the hostesses, to the great hospitality of the servers. The restaurant was very lively and upbeat which made it fun and enjoyable. We also noticed the very cool and unique abstract paintings on the walls, which added to the lovely setting. The music also added to the lively atmosphere which was nice. The best part of our experience was the mouth-watering cuisine from your menu of endless "scrumptiousness". I ordered the rib and steak with garlic bread, salad and fries, which was beyond delicious. Since I decided to get something that had a lot of variety, my boyfriend opted to get the famous nachos which left us looking forward to our next dining experience at Lou’s Bar & Grill. All in all, our dining experience was the cherry on top of our day. The service was impeccable, and the cuisine was all-star.
