I ordered Philadelphia rolls through Just Eat and they gave me rolls with asparagus and no avocado. I told them I got the wrong order and they said "no that's how they're made. All our customers know this!" and yelled at me. I checked the menu again (both on the justeat website AND their own sushiwind website) and confirmed that no, there's no asparagus and there is supposed to be avocado and they got my order wrong. After asking for the right food or a refund they said "There's nothing we can do for you, talk to JustEat."
So I called Just Eat, who has very friendly customer service, and they said they would call the restaurant. They said the restaurant was really unhelpful but they eventually got me a full refund, as long as I didn't eat any of the sushi. I said that was fine and apologizes that she had to talk to the restaurant. She told me the restaurant wants to come pick up the sushi from me, but it will take "three hours" because they're busy.
So I'm now waiting with sushi back in the bag as it gets warm and old. I don't know what they're serving people but I hope it's not this. Disgusting!
I gave it a 4; as they have the best hot dogs around.....and very cheap ($1.50 that huge thing) however, would have given a 5 for Food and Value, but the wings that I have gotten few times are not so great. II thought it was a great buy at the time when you got a pound for $7, but now it's only 10 pieces for $7.....can get that at 7 - Eleven. Their wings aren't horrible, but they are not to be desired.
Stick with the Hot Dogs
So last week; I came here with a few friends. We were pretty much seated right away. server came and took our order.....I ordered my usual double double burger......some friends had various things.
The food was ok (but the next morning I felt sick and well......) which is odd, because I always get the same thing, but never feel sick afterwards.
On top of that; one of my friends gave me a gift card for $25 (Cara restaurant chain.....Milestone's , swiss chalet...etc) but since I was going around talking to my guests....at the end of the night I forgot my gift card (in an envelope with a card)
a couple hours later I realized this and called the restaurant and asked if I left my card behind (manager said that our table had been cleaned already and they probably threw everything in the garbage)
Ok, I understand needing to clean the table......but when picking up the envelope, did the server lose their sense of feel / touch and not realizing something thick was in the envelope and perhaps turn it in to the lost and found? or did they see that one of my guests gave me a gift card to a competitor restaurant; and despite choosing to come here after seeing a gift card from somewhere else they decide to throw it out since it was competitor.
Nice location though, iffy about food since got sick....plus they throw out my gift (really hoping it was an accident though) so I think I will pass......Maybe I should had gone to Milestone's instead
iI want to correct my rating in their service, i thought incredible is the lowest. What i meant was, poor. Although some of their staff are nice and friendly and polite, this particular lady is really rude, I was humilliated because there are some customers too . May i suggest to the management of Maxims bakery to train this certain staff to be polite and patient to their customers. Thank you & i hope the owner will take time to correct the behavior of this staff.
So They sell sandwiches but can't make some for pickup ?
If the store owner knew the staff declined my order ; I'm sure they would be mad !
20 sandwiches x $7 = $140 I guess it's pocket change to them

Misleading menu, Schnitzel was not a SHINITZEL , but a 1'' chicken breast. Just a light panko style coating and very pale in colour. A soggy coating didn't help, My medium size chicken breast had one very thin mushroom and an almost watery whitish sauce. NO TASTE.
Roasted potatoes and veges were very good. One on line menu had a price of $16, another had a $17.00 price.We were with friends for our after NEW Years get together so I didn't want to fuss. After discussing with my partner, she agreed with my assessment. Last time for this mediocre restaurant as 3 of the last four meals have been below average.
Hi all, what prompted me to write this review is a continuous FAIL on the service. As soon as my group and I walk into this restaurant, the FAILING starts. As I open the door and take my first two steps inside, I come face to face making eye contact with a server behind the cashiers counter. She/He then runs off from behind that counter and disappears, so my group and I are left in wonder at what just happened. Then we are greeted with someone saying "how many?" They do not say hello or anything, just an abrupt "How Many?" Then a "follow me," if there is no 15-30min wait.
The food is delicious, that's why this restaurant gets a 2 Star Rating, otherwise this restaurant would just be an epic fail. I order hot water because I'm allergic to something in their tea. They say it will take a long time to boil, as to detour me from ordering hot water. I say "that's no problem." They drop off ALL the food and when my group is finished eating, I finally ask for the hot water they said they were boiling. The server forgets EVERY. DANG. TIME. When they finally bring the hot water after we have all finished our meals, they bring it in a plastic cup!! Boiling hot water should never be put in plastic, it is NOT HEALTHY. On top of it all, I can't even drink it, it's so hot it burns.
All in all, if you don't mind being ignored and the service, it's a great restaurant with delicious food. On the other hand, if you like to tip for good service, don't even bother.

Went looking for breakfast place after I was told "no breakfast spots in Tri-Cities"> well, this place had solid breakfasts (Eggs Benny, Western Omelette and Big breakfast. Service was incredibly quick and friendly, food was hot and tasty. I'm impressed. We saw a hamburger meal that was impressive. It's a small mom and pop type of place. The quality was great and we'll be back again soon.
I heard great things about this place and I have tried their cream of mushroom soup and fried chicken and I was quite pleased with it until my last order which was the Chicken Giant sandwich. A nice piece of breast meat deep fried as usual but the cheese they put in the sandwich was nothing but regular processed cheese? I can't believe that they can't afford to put real sliced cheese on their $17.00 sandwich!!! Not very good business sense if you ask me. Sent them a message thru their website and did not get any reply back from them and that was 2 months ago. Followed up with them with their direct email address (as previously I left my concerns on their message board) and finally got a hold of Brian. His reply is what surprises me especially considering that he is in the hospitality industry. I would post the whole conversation but feel that would be stooping to their level. Suffice to say is that their response sounds like more of a dismissal and acknowledges no wrong doing.
Anyone raving about this place is either friends of the people that work there or got paid to put their 5 star review.
I had never been to this restaurant because I thought it might be pricey. I was wrong, the prices are excellent and the food is as well. I had chicken kabobs, which came with rice (or salad) and a broiled tomato. I asked for bread, and I got pita with raw onion, which the server said was standard fare in Persian restaurants. Since I love onions, I wasn't unhappy. The chicken was excellent, a large portion and the rice was perfect. I can't fault them for a single thing. Nice looking place, good service and a great deal. What more could you ask?
For $15 I got two small ramekins of Eat Indian gravy.. Two pieces of chicken in one bowl. And nothing in the other.
One small ramekins of rice, a handful of poorly chopped, crushed, radish leaves, and four small pieces of naan.
Just think about getting half of the amount that you would get from a mall takeaway for twice the price.
The flavour was as common as every other East restaurant that I've eaten at.
I asked if they have a lunch time meal for one.
Please..the next time someone asks you this..please say NO. This made up plate was not anything near a meal.
If you just want money..screw you.
And the fact that you hell yourself to a tip to round the cost up to $15 just added insure to your greed.
Please keep screwing over stupid West Vancouverites. But I will never pay you any time in the future for meals because of your attitude to me Durning my first visit. Nothing like not knowing how to atract new customers.
I was in the area and feeling nostalgic so came to Pho Hoa. Food was solid. HOWEVER, the portions have considerably shrunk. What used to be a small bowl is now considered a large bowl of pho with just the basics. The price has skyrocketed to $11.50 including tax. Yikes.
Needless to say there were only three different tables for a total of five patrons including myself. This place used to be the 'grand daddy' of all pho places to me but no more.
Palki always had great food and service but last weekend we had the good fortune to be served by their new Server, Jeet. What a treat it was. He is hilarious and yet respectful and totally attentive. Consider yourself lucky if you get his table. We have tried Butter Chicken at so many Indian Restaurants but none come close to the Butter Chicken at Palki. Then again, all of their dishes are well prepared. Kudos to Palki.
I remember when the bun was a major part of making a White Spot burger delicious. Not any more - they just use generic buns, and they don't even toast them any more. I remember when "Triple O" meant extra sauce. Not any more - it's not only not extra, there's hardly enough. As for the "endless fries", I have NEVER been asked at any White Spot if I'd like more. Apparently these words are just words. My meal was edible, but there's no reason to pick White Spot over any other restaurant.
I haven't been back to this restaurant for a few years now. I thought I would give it try again with my husband. We had 8:00pm reservations and our table was not ready. At 8:10 the bar was offered to us and we decided to sit at the bar and have dinner there too. We ordered the bison carpaccio (shared). Husband had pork belly, scallops and I had the elk loin for dinner. Normally we would share an appetizer and have our own entrees and we would be more than satisfied. To our surprise, at this restaurant the portions were extremely small for their "larger" plates. I usually eat at the smaller portion level already and after eating here I was still craving for a burger. The way they priced the plates you would think you get a decent amount of food. It's not the case here. I look around the restaurant and wonder what other people are ordering. There is no way everyone is leaving here full unless you order your own appetizer, entrée and other small plates to keep you satisfied. My husband and I will not be going back again. Yes, the food was delicious, the ambience was nice and service was great but it's also about value.
It's been quite a few years since we had been to IHOP (as the food is not quite as good as it once was....but I notice this all around at other chains too)
I came on Thursday with a friend of mine; and first trip was to the washroom. I noticed the water from the sink was cold (no hot water) I went to talk / complain to the manager. She said I could use the sink that was behind the counter....No apologies and seemed kinda cold about it......I felt she kinda had the attitude of "How dare you complain" This has happened to me at other establishments too....(most notably at White Spot or Milestone's) Usually the management or employee apologizes (and with a smile....could be fake, but that's ok too) and says they will do what they can to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Anyways; we sat down and ordered our food. I had a 5 stack original pancakes, and my friend an omelet with pancakes. The syrups used to be so good that in the past another friend and I would sometimes have a few spoonfuls of just the syrup......the only one now that's pretty good is the Butter Pecan......but our meal was delicious and a good price (mind you breakfast is generally cheap)
The service was something to be desired. Waitress never asked how our meals was....if we needed anything and never offered to re-fill our drinks.....Don't even think she thanked us.
The meal saved it; so I am sure we will be back to try again.......but really; worse service I've had at a restaurant in years
Quan's kitchen is your typical "ding ,ding" type diner.The microwaves are the primary source of the problem with their inedible chinese food.Truly shockingly bad taste,and texture(s) to meat dishes due to unnecessary use of microwaves, the abundant leftover food went straight in the trash.Real cooks use pans ,pots and grills to prepare fresh food, not reheat frozen rubbery entrees in microwaves .Bland ,tasteless and truly a waste of money.If you enjoy stomach aches eat at quans.
On multiple occasions, I have been kicked out of the restaurant for daring to come inside after 10:30 at night though their advertised hours are until 11pm. Usually I only get inside because the door is locked but another customer is leaving. The manager is exceptionally rude. Each time he tells me to go. "Get out. We're closed. I will not serve you." And when I mentioned this to other folks in the community, they tell me they've had the exact same experience. How dare we want to eat something during the hours the sign says they're open. I hope this guy gets fired for the bad name he's giving his company. I don't mind the food, when I'm actually allowed to buy it. I have already received an apology letter from Burger King's head office. And yet this continues.
Terrible service. I called to make a reservation for a party 12 to celebrate the holidays with my coworkers. The man on the phone told me that he put my name down and I that my reservation is confirmed. The next day I noticed on their website that they require a $100 deposit for larger parties which the man on the phone never asked me for. I thought it was strange so called in to verify my reservation and (as expected) they did not have my reservation nor did they not have space to accommodate us anymore. The person on the phone did not offer much of an apology except offered another day for our group of 12 (which requires EVERYONE to change their plans - these are people with family schedules to juggle around so it's not exactly easy to simply change dates). He did not seem very apologetic/embarrassed with the incompetence of his staff either. Definitely will not be booking any further after work functions here.
At the Haney Public House there is always a cold drink and good food awaiting you.The food is elevated far beyond standard pub fare,where the cooks definately care about producing quality meals with great flavours even when busy.Consistency is solid with menu items , and cool specials are added from time to time which add a freshness to the menu.Pints are cold and at the ready,friendly service and a fun time awaits!
